My husband called yesterday so hopefully it sparks some movement. No DM showing on his - just “in process” this whole time. His daughter is getting married in the States soon - kind of worried it will interfere with our ability to easily get there - and back.
Did he learn anything new when he called? Mine is a couple of weeks later, but otherwise in the same limbo.

Applied in Canada, CEC. Became PR on 06/23/2021. Got my e-COPR via the PR Portal and uploaded image/candian address same day. Nothing since then.

Linked my account to my CIC profile. Nothing. What is going on?! It's like they've forgotten about me.

Anyone in a similar boat? Any advise? I'm getting desperate at this point.

I want to meet loved ones and this is like torture.

How long can we expect IRCC to provide AOR1 for PR Renewal? It was received by IRCC on December 12th.
Same case like mine ,
Based on the phone I made today, ircc would open your application 3 months after they receive the package so Dec 12th plus 3 months so March 12th approx then add 1 more month for them to start the processing

NEED ADVISE !!

I have submitted application to change name on PR card for my wife. Here is our timelines:

1. First PR card received on July, 2021
2. Applied for my wife name change on Indian passport and received new Indian passport with new name on 1st Week of Aug 2021
3. PR card name change application sent to IRCC with required copies of name change (New Indian passport, Marriage Certificate etc.) and there timelines are below:
  1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on August 20, 2021.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on November 18, 2021.
  3. We started processing your application on November 18, 2021.
4. Today, we have received below response from IRCC:

---
Dear <Wife old name as per PR card name change application>:

We have received your application for a Permanent Resident Card and note that the name on your application differs from that on your Record of Landing or Confirmation of Permanent Residence document.

We are unable to process your application without proof of a legal change of name linking your name at landing and the new name you are requesting. Please submit a copy of all the applicable linking documents from the list below which link the name on your Record of Landing and your new name:

• Legal Change of Name Document
• Court Order, divorce decree, revocation of declaration or annulment of union
• Adoption Order
• Marriage Certificate, registration, declaration of union (PROVIDED – NO NEED TO RESUBMIT)

In addition to the application linking documents requested and submitted from the above list, you MUST also submit a copy of the following:

• Provincial ID (from the province in which you reside) in the name you are requesting on your Permanent Resident Card. Identification should include the name, date of birth, photo and signature of the applicant (i.e. Driver’s license, Photo ID Card, Health Card, etc.)

Note: Provincial ID is not required if you have provided a legal name change document issued by a province within Canada.

If we do not receive the requested information within 30 days of the date above and your card will remain valid for more than one year, we will consider your application for a permanent resident card cancelled. Any new information submitted after the 30 days will require a new application, fee, photos and relevant documents.
---

In this case which additional document I can submit? I have only new passport copy and Indian state govt. gazette.
Service Ontario confirmed that, they can change the name on DL and Health card once it get changed to PR card so I don't left option to submit Provincial ID.

Do I need to change the name of CoPR document by raising web form?

Can someone please help with this one and let us know how to proceed further?
Hello,
I am not an expert but I think you should apply for legal name change in your province; this might take more than a month. Once you get the name change certificate, you send it to them. The certificate is a good document that link your old name and new name.

So how incompetent is IRCC? And wtf do they expect us to do if we have to leave Canada on an emergency? Already my spousal sponsorship is now 2 years (outland).

The great IRCC thanks a lot!

He learned nothing we didn't already know. Sadly, calling really did nothing but confirm what we were seeing online on his account. We were hoping somehow it bumps his to the front, but that's not the case, as we are still waiting.

I mailed my PR card renewal application on September 3, 2021, and it was delivered on September 7. Haven't heard anything yet. I see nothing on ECAS and when I called them, they said they have no record of the application in the system yet and told me to wait some more. I do have proof of delivery with a signature and can include that on the webform when I reach out to them once it's been 128 days since delivery. But it's a bit frustrating.

Anybody else from September or earlier who hasn't received AOR?

Was this your first renewal? Our application received in August got notification of receipt on Nov 8 and has remained in process since then. Wondering if subsequent renewals might be faster.

Yes, this is my first renewal. What’s the average time for getting the card after status changes to decision made ?

Haha. Haven’t gotten there yet! The website says the average time for entire process is 128 days. So far for us it’s been 154.

Hey Buddy, I was in a similar situation. You can either apply for a name change certificate with the province like one of the members here advised or you can just get the DL and HC updated like I did. I wasn't asked for a PR card with the new name. All you would need to get your DL and HC updated is the passport with the new name and the marriage certificate. I included these docs in my application and have got AOR and have not received any request to provide further proof so far.
