Status changed is change in travel plans, reuniting with immediate family, illness in family etc. What family members are you want to visit?

my daughter and son both are canadian citizen. actually i applied visa on 4th sept and got instruction letter on 7th sept

Hi,
I had applied for a TRV for my spouse and minor (7 year) daughter on september 18 via the new portal.
I got the PPR for my wife today, but no update on my daughter's profile. Is this normal? And when should I expect an update?

Yes, it can be processed separately. Can't tell you when you will get a decision.

You just got PPR for your wife today. Every person is processed independently so you should hear within the next 2 weeks about your daughter. Due t9 the holidays may be a bit longer but usually you hear within a week about all the family members.

Looks like the 7 year old is your stepdaughter. If they want to remain in Canada and be sponsored you may also run into issues with registering her for school. As a visitor she isn’t entitled to access free education since she doesn’t have any parents with status in Canada only a stepparent. Once her mother gets a an OWP she would qualify but that is taking around 6 months these days due to covid. I many provinces both your wife and stepchild will not qualify for healthcare. Some will require them to be covered be AIP (just before PR approval) before qualifying for provincial healthcare and others will be able to apply for provincial healthcare once they get AOR for the sponsorship application. Most take out emergency travel medical insurance and pay for routine care out of pocket. If you have an e tended medical benefit program through your employer you usually need to qualify for provincial healthcare first to access the extended medical benefits.

Thank you I really appreciate the detailed advice from you.
I am really hoping that I hear about her visa soon and we can all meet!
We do not plan to have them stay long here, they will just be visiting for 3 weeks and heading back, but i appreciate the information shared! Thank you!

Hi,
Was hoping to get some insight from you.
My wifes passport has gone for stamping, and as advised by you I have been watching holding my breath for 2 weeks, but still havent got any movement on my daughters visa. Is there anything i can proactively do to expedite it?
