I completed my application on 1st Dec and sent in my biometrics on 6th and I haven’t received any updates since then. I keep checking for updates. All I see is I don’t need an interview, I don’t need a medical exam…they will tell me when they start reviewing my eligibility and background check… does it usually take this long?.

If posted on the Canada.ca, yes the times are more or less accurate.

Posted Processing times are longer due to ban on travel for more than certain family members last year. Many applications were put on hold and not processed because of travel restrictions. Not clear how long processing will take but imagine a few months is probably more accurate.

Still may be very difficult to get a TRV.
