Possibly for the first time in history SINP has included my profession under its International Healthcare workers EOI pool and we are now eligible for nomination. Unfortunately it’s a regulated profession and I would need proof of licensure at the point of applying
Do you need to have the license before you apply? I also needed a license for 2173/2174 but I applied anyway and told them I am waiting for my license application to be approved. My application was accepted and put on hold until I submitted my license. Not sure if it's the same with you?

Aren't you post AOR? 2173/2174 are not regulated professions and don't require a license to work.

You should check again if a license is really required at the time of application. OINP also invites medical-related regulated NOC's in their priority occupations draw like nurses and I think a license is not required for the nomination because outlanders cannot get a license outside of Canada in medical professions.

Yes I am post AOR. For SINP, 2173/2174/2175 requires the CIPS licensure to qualify for the nomination. Prior to 2020, 2174 did not require licensing but it became a requirement in 2020.

That’s the problem. The route to getting licensed to practice in Canada in my profession is a long gruesome process accompanied by a series of daunting examinations which will roughly take at least a year or 2 to achieve. I am not psychologically ready to go through this from outside Canada. It seems that if one doesn’t get license the application would be refused. Anyway. I have sent a mail to the regulatory body in Saskatchewan to learn what I will need to do to work in Saskatchewan

How did you get your nomination without the licence?

Yeah, license is not required for nomination but it seems that my application will be refused if i don’t have a license to practice in Canada
