Criteria for selecting an employer to support PR

Hi ,
I am planning to join a small retail store as a manager . They are not well flourished (nearly than 10 franchises). They agreed to help with my PR . First 3 months will be on a contract basis . Right now I am so confused ,is it okay to work in a small business like that ? Are there any criteria for an employer ? I would really appreciate if you guys can help me to sort this out .

Since you are in Canada, you can work for any employer as long as the work is skilled in NOC A, B or 0.
