Adding spouse after AOR

NOTE: I have always used Lagos immigration office for every previous Web forms I send to IRCC and even the email for the application kit for add-on spouse was not from the Lagos branch, my Web form add-on request was through the Lagos branch.

PROBLEM: I did not get any acknowledgement response from IRCC after sending my spouse's documents and forms vide webform( Lagos branch) but lgos branch after two months (August) responds to me that they do not handle pr applications ( funny they only tell me that for the first time after two long months). They told me to contact ACCRAIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca which I did. Tried sending my attachment to the said email but it was not allowed. So I sent all the documents vide Web form but through Accra immigration office instead then contacted the following:

Told them that I had now sent my add on documents and forms vide Web forms. Till date I have not received any response acknowledging my documents.

I have also sent IRCC several Web forms on this issue but I get generic messages. So I did 3rd gcms note request on October 8 (3 days after I received an email form IRCC that "they have not forgotten me" essentially). For the first time I have not received my GCMS notes in time and it is still pending receipt.


WHAT DO I DO NOW BECAUSE I AND MY HUSBAND ARE IN LIMBO(might I add that on my birthday, Nov. 23rd 2021 IRCC decided to gift me by requesting remedical)! And with this new ban on Nigeria due to the OMICRON Covid-19 variant it makes us the more worried.

I do not have the information of exactly what IMM*** form(s) are required to be filled and submitted as no specific information is mentioned in the Request Letter. Also, the placeholder for documents shows as Replacement needed and I am confused as to what exactly needs to be provided and in which format.

Fill everything in, merge all, create one PDF file, and upload it to replace the previous file. Number 2 and 3 I printed and signed, me and my spouse.

Hey guys, I received an email from IRCC that they received the ADR they asked for recently. When I logged into my portal, my application status was updated and now I see my spouse has been added to my portal. Finally! I also had my medicals extended and reflected on my portal a few days ago.

Yes, it was attached to the IRCC request letter. In your case, I don't know why they didn't attach the questions to their request letter...
Anyways, I answered these, and my spouse was processed and added to my portal within a week of submission.

So are you saying that when IRCC sent you the email with the forms to fill and the list of documents to accompany those forms, those questions came along with that email? Because I didn't get those lettered-questions! But I did address most of the questions asked of you in my LOE and did send them pictures of my civil, church, traditional and reception ceremonies as parts of my documents in support of my add on request and yet my spouse isn't reflecting my online application

No, it was not in the initial email.
About 5 months later they asked for it. And they also asked for everything else that was in that initial email (like PCC, medicals, photos, etc). And until then, my spouse wasn't processed/reflected on my portal. Now it is reflected.

Do they ask these of everybody? I ask cos they stil haven't added my spouse visibly to my application. I informed them of the civil marriage in April 2021, then in May beginning they sent me a kit. I then waited for the church traditional and reception ceremony which was mid May 2021 then sent them all the requirements from the mail in early June 2021. It was not until August 2021 that Lagos Canadian immigration office sy they don't handle immigration applications and I should reroute to accra office. I did that in August immediately (talk of wasted time). I have been waiting since then. I was just asked tofo medicals again on 23rd November. Gcms note is delayed and pending.

Wow that was such a long journey... I'm not sure if they ask it from everybody. If I were you, I would just wait and see... But according to LegalFalcon, when your spouse hasn't been visibly added to your profile, it means that it is not processed yet.
