Wait. Completely normal so far. Normal timeframe for this first step is 30-90 days.

It generally takes 2-3 months to hear from IRCC and receive the file number. What you are experiencing is normal and there is no need to worry. You should hear from IRCC sometime bewteen now and the first week of January.
