Seniors,

I am permanent resident of Canada. My wife is self employed and works in India. She has a USA visitor visa and is currently visiting the states.
We applied for a TRV for her to come to Canada and see me, and are approaching 30 business days.
We have no submitted any salary slip or proof of funds and have submitted all other documents, like marriage documents and vaccine certificate.
Seeing so many spousal visas refused is making me very anxious. We have not applied for her PR or anything. Do you feel we should except a visa or a refusal? Also if I add the salary slip and bank statement now will it be of help or is it unnecessary?

How long have you been married given you have to apply for spousal sponsorship? Is this her first application? Why didn’t you show marriage certificate, POF? You may get a visitor visa refusal because you would have need to prove that she is only coming to visit. She is not living in her home country and is self employed which does not show ties to India.

Wait for a response. The 30 days is not a set time.

we have been married for a little over a month and we do not intend to apply for spousal sponsorship, just a regular visitor visa for spouse. This is her first application though she has been in Canada in 2012. She also has a valid USA visa.
I did submit our marriage certificate with the application and have also sent in the POF now via web form.
She lives in India and is currently visiting USA. I sent the entry stamps on her passport as well. Finally she owns her business and I sent her business ownership proof and the property ownership papers for the business as well by web form.

Impossible to say but getting a TRV as the spouse of a PR is difficult because many aren’t true visitors and are attempting to apply for inland sponsorship. Not applying from from your home country can be a negative. If she has been away for a month and is applying to come visit Canada it is hard to say that she has strong ties to her business that requires her to be present. Proof of her savings and income should be included in the application. Normally application would be refused but during covid TRVs for spouses have been a bit more lenient.

Do you think my chances may be better now?

So then I still have hope?
I put in a lot of web forms with as much supporting documents as I could.

Also, she had her first visitor visa application in que before our wedding. We reapplied after 7th sept because of the change in circumstances, which was marriage.

Yes. This somewhat confirms to me (and IRCC) that you were trying to get a TRV before the wedding and that you are trying to do inland sponsorship. Normally I would say that refusal was almost guaranteed but due to covid we have seen some approvals so you never know. Did she visit the US to show recent travel history?
She has travelled to USA before and has an extensive travel history of all over Europe, Canada USA and Mexico. The only thing is she last went to Canada in 2011
And 2012.
She had travelled to USA for expanding her business clientele and is trying to set up a company there

So she has a business visa in the US? Did you get married in the US?

First post states she is on a visitor visa in the States as a visitor but trying to set up a business.
So the USA visa is called b1/b2
The same visa allows you to do business (your own, not be employed) and tourism.
