I have received an invitation to sponsor. But bow there is a hitch. For the last 3 years NOA they require as proof of income, my income in 2018 is not sufficient. But incomes in 2019 and 2020 ND now in 2021 will be more than sufficient. I want to know from someone should I explain this in the letter of explanation or withdraw my application because 2018 income is lower than what they require?

If I am refused as a sponsor, will that impact my chances to be accepted as a sponsor in the future?

There is no point writing a letter. Refusal is guaranteed.

Don't submit your application.

So, general application form is online this time and I can't see any place to sign it. Do we even need to sign it this time? Same is the case for Schedule A and Additional family information form.

Hi,
I got invitation to apply for my parents PR.
I do not have proper birth certificate.
However, I have my Indian passport, canadian PR, school documents etc with birth date
My mother name appear on my passport as my mother
So, my question is, will my passport and other documents acceptable as birth date proof with passport as proof of relationship with my mother?

Thanks

Hi, I need some advise on the PGP 2021 online application regarding uploading photos. I have a hard copy of the Photo taken from a Photo Studio which has the Photo Studio stamp and all the required information. I also have the digital print of the same photo in good resolution (say, PhotoFront.jpg image)

Questions:
(1) Should I upload the good resolution digital image (in jpg format) of the face side (say, PhotoFront.jpg) and upload a scanned copy (in either jpg or pdf format) of the backside of the photo (say, PhotoBack.pdf) to the online application?

OR

(2) Should I scan (in either jpg or pdf format) and upload front side of the original hard copy of the photo (say PhotoFront.pdf) and then scan the backside containing parent name and photo studio information and upload that (say, PhotoBack.pdf) separately to the online application?

OR

(3) Should I scan (in either jpg or pdf format) the front side of the original hard copy and the backside containing parent name and photo studio information and upload them as a single file (say, Photo.pdf) to the online application?

Hi did you get an answer to this question. I'm confused as well. Not sure how the whole scan and upload process will work. Let me know if you learnt how this should be done.

Hi,

I have just followed the instructions in application guide. I scanned both sides of the actual photos and uploaded them as PDF. quality is good even though the digital photo would have made more sense but this is how it is written in guide:

"
Applying online
  • You need one (1) photo
  • Follow the instructions in the online application to scan and upload both sides of your photo to your application."

I received invitation to apply for PR visa for my parents for 2021.

I am doubtful about the income requirements. In 2018, I moved from US to Canada in July and started my new job in Canada after arriving here.

Combined income from US and Canadian employers exceeds the income requirements for 2018 but my question is does income from US employer will be counted as proof of ncome. It is mentioned in line 104 as "other employment income" in my tax return and I can see it in 2018 NOA. I have paid taxes for this income as well.

Line 101 Canada income
Line 104 US income
Line 150 both Canada and US income

I have gone through below link but not 100% sure if US income is considered as proof of income.

See below in the manual. It's basically up to the visa officer.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...family-class-assessing-sponsor.html#financial

As a rule, financial resources must originate from Canadian sources. An officer can, however, consider income received from foreign sources if it was declared by the sponsor to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and appears on their Notice of Assessment (NOA). It is important to note that income abroad may not be a reliable indicator of future or stable employment in Canada. IRCC staff cannot easily verify if foreign income can be transferred to Canada and converting foreign income into Canadian dollars can be resource-intensive. In cases of default, collection and litigation, it is easier to recover income from Canadian sources.

Thank you much. Fingers crossed.

After 7 years I am back to this forum. Last time this forum helped me PR application under FSWP. Now I came again to discuss about my mother PR application. I got invitation to apply. Is anyone can help me to provide steps to follow?

In the invitation, deadline to submit is mentioned as 60 days from the email, it comes around 23-Nov.
But they also mentioned, the application shall be received by 6-Dec.

Which is the correct date.

Congratulations to everyone received the invitation and good luck with the application. Joined this forum to follow the progress of fellow PR /Citizens. I got my invite to sponsor my mother and also in process of applying.

As per document checklist first thing is parents and grandparents invitation to apply letter? What is this? Is this letter I received from CIC or I need to create an invitation letter?

Dumb question, so I will fill out sponsor form and other stuff and my mother will fill all the forms, and then only she will apply online, right? I don’t have to do any online or paper application? Is this correct?

Hi friends, I got ITA for my parents . May kindly clarify whether we have to fill form 1283 and upload. Is this form is required as in the check list this is nowhere mentioned ?
