TVR for short visit.

Super Visa for longer visits (you need to meet minimum income requirements for this to be an option for your parents).

PR through parent / grandparent sponsorship. You need to meet income requirements for at least three years in Canada to qualify and then enter a lottery and hope you are selected.

The only way for parents to offically MOVE to Canada is to sponsor them to become PR. And that's via PGP (Parents and grandparents sponsorship) which has limited applicantion each year and is based on a lottery system. The sponsor (child whose a PR or Citizen) needs to meet income requriement (all details on IRCC site) for previous 3 years and continue to meet it during the process. Sponsor will be responsible for the sponsored parents for 20 years after they landed.

Then there are options for visits via TRV (up to 6 months stay) and super visa (up to 2 years stay). Either cases, parents are just visiting and cannot work nor get healthcare coverage by gov during their visits.

Parent sponsorship is not guaranteed so you’ll need to take that into consideration when applying for PR. There is currently a parent sponsorship process that is reviewed every year. Although you are only required to meet a certain income for 3 years (1 year in QC) in reality most are not selected on their first attempt and some have not been selected for over a decade. Processing of an application can also take 1-2+ years. Many are under the false impression that after 3 years they will easily be able to sponsor their parents but the demand for spots far exceeds the amount of spots currently available and with our ageing population the number may need to be reassessed.

You need to have earned a certain amount of income in Canada to qualify for LOCO. There isn’t a exact amount you and your parents must show in your savings. Your parents will need also show they have ties to their home country because they are only visiting Canada.
