Hi @irazfan Could you please tell me the specifications of the photo that we need to upload in the Portal? I'm awaiting my second email. Just wanted to get a heads up. Also do we need to get a stamp of the photo studio at the back of the image?

Thanks
I’m not sure. I showed the photo requirement webpage of IRCC (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/new-immigrants/pr-card/apply-renew-replace/photo.html)to the photographer at one of the Shoppers store and mentioned it’s for PR and should be 50mm x 70mm. I gave my usb drive and she copied for me the original file. For printed photos, she stamped behind the photos with date. So I just uploaded the original file from USB. It doesn’t have any stamp and date.

Hi all

Quick question to the ones who've received and responded to the Portal email. It says I have to give certain information(name, UCI, date of entry etc..) about myself and "each member of my family". Does that also include the ones that are not part of the application?

Thanks

The answer is no if you have Children born in Canada and they are already Canadian citizen by birth. I am not sure about other cases.

I need your suggestion folks! My AOR is 1st Feb 2021 and I’ve been silently following the progress of everyone on this forum. I applied for GCMS notes on 18th Aug and I received a reply on 18th September asking whether I need information for my dependents as well(wife, inland) and if yes, then I should submit their consent form. I duly submitted and I will wait another month to know -
What’s going on with my PR application, its been close to 8 months now!
My question is - My wife and I need to travel to India ASAP. I am willing to come back in 2 weeks, but she doesn’t. She wants the full 2 months stay! Can we do that? Since I will be here in Canada, i can collect both our PR cards whenever they arrive, and bring hers back to india with me. Obviously we don’t want to risk everything by committing a blunder, so please suggest @everyone, what are our options here?!

tricky. But below is my view.

As the travel ban is lifted, we can travel now to India and come back with out much of the hassle. I guess you will be holding a valid visa(not waiting for any TRV or extension), so there will be no problem.

For any instance, if you get the portal email for address confirmation, you need to come inside canada and reply as soon as possible. That way you can avoid any complexity.

One flip side is... if you travel to India and stays more time, there might be some tricky situations to your Indian PCC. In few scenarios the PCC will become void if you travel before any decision made to your application (as you might dont know which stage is your application).

Above is purely my view, and please take expert suggestions and do your own research before making any step.

Okay this is very helpful. Regarding your second point - if our application is still stuck at PCC stage after 8 months, then I have very little hopes of getting a PR soon anyway. We do have a valid TRV and we are planning to travel for a month now.
One specific question - What happens when the PR application is approved? Does our existing TRVs immediately get cancelled or when we log into the new portal? How much will we have to return to Canada after we receive the confirmation email. Thanks for your help!

If you get ECOPR, then your TRV will be void. But in order to get ECOPR, You need to reply to the portal email and send photos. As long as you do these two steps when you land in Canada, then there is no problem.

On the wait times.. we can't comment on anything. We just need to wait. Need some luck.

Why does it take so long? Almost 8 months now but no updates since medical in March. My AOR is on Feb 25. Any news guys??
Mine too, AoR feb 15, 2021, no dependent, no foreign experience, no ADR. Nothing after March 2. I’m starting to think they don’t want to work on our files. We are the unlucky ones. I submitted the clearest application. VO Montreal.

I received the second portal email (login info) today morning and I uploaded the photo and confirmed the address. I hope they’ll issue the electronic confirmation by tomorrow. Thank you. It took more than 7 months. I feel I am much older now :))
Mate, do you know which office issued your portal credentials? Is it Virtual Landing Unit, OSC?

AOR Feb 24, nothing since March regarding the medical. Even if they are currently finalizing most of the applications received between Feb 21 and Feb 27, I will be surprised to get something but who knows…

Thanks a lot @talktoudaykumar . regarding "But in order to get ECOPR, You need to reply to the portal email and send photos" .. how much time is given to reply to the portal email? 1 week/1 month? Thanks!

I'm seeing "Application status is currently unavailable. Please try again later" on my cic account. Does anyone have the same issue?
