I have been following this thread but never posted anything.
I just received an invitation email from CPC Mississauga.
Toronto Resident. First two letters of confirmation number starts with CD, email came in at 10:44am

Hello Folks,
I was invited to sponsor my parents this week. I was trying since 2017 but finally got picked in this draw. I am filling imm0008 for my mother.. My father is passed away, so my mother is the PA only. I have siblings whose ages are more than 22 years so they cant be added in the dependents but do we need to add their children as grandchildren in the dependents even if they are not accompanying my mother?
My other question is related to the address question in background declaration form. Do we also need to add the addresses of the short trips she did as a tourist out of country in the past 10 years?

We are trying but due the covid situation, its not guaranteed. I will send an explanation letter along with scanned expired passport. Hopefully that can be considered.
She’ll be 21 Jan 2024, and I plan to apply for PGP in 2023. What month do applications start for PGP? And they lock the age right, to when u submitted app and all docs? So she’ll be considered 21 when I apply even tho she’s turning 22 soon? Thank u
Who knows what the program will be in 2024. If still a lottery, you may not even be selected the first year. Some people wait many years. It is locked in when you are selected and submit your application. You have to meet LICO for 3 years for all family members including you, spouse, children, parents and their dependants.
Yes.. but they are allowed to take leave right? Afaik, govt employees are entitled to take >20days/year of paid leaves.
Not saying they do not do their job, just take a day off to make a super long weekend, from their entitled benefit.
