Hi ,

i received invitation for my parents yesterday and have few questions hoping to get some help

  • income requirements - 2020 and 2019 is okay but 2018 i am sort 1500$ so wondering if still okay or not?
  • i was single in 2018 so i should check for 3 person i guess , so co -sign won't help for 2018 i believe ??
  • also was student earlier 2018 part so not sure that makes a difference ?
any thoughts help is much appreciated
co-signer works for all years. You should be good if you + co-signer meet income in 2018. Doesn't matter if you got married afterwards.

no you do not meet the income requirements and you should not have applied. You took a chance away from someone that actually is eligible.

People like this should be fined for not READING THE RULES before applying.
Relax, it has been debunked here many times that they dont take away chance from anyone eligible. CIC draws more than eligible seats and gets the correct total at the end.

Didn’t you check all the requirements before filling out the form??
Even $1 short will be counting as short.
When you know income is not sufficient for 2018 and you need income requirements for last 3 years. Why did you take chance ? It’s mentioned in bold letters that you should be either PR or citizen and last 3 year income. If you do not qualify that means you simply not qualify and application will be rejected for sure. And you already took the chance from someone who has all the requirements and quality.
it does not say anywhere that you need to be PR or Citizen for this many years to be eligible , lol BOLD LETTERS

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1461&top=14 - this makes me eligible

No, You DO NOT Qualify.
When you knew, beforehand, that you do NOT qualify for 2018 Income, why in the first place, you applied? People like you are wasting spots for the guys who Really Qualify.

if the are asking for CRA notice of assessment for preceding 3 years which means they automatically calculate that you have to be in canada for a minimum of 3 years to make that income and file 3 year worth of taxes within canada before you are eligible. It's common not so common sense.
