Hi everyone, I am scheduled for oath ceremony next month just waiting for the email confirmation. I have a question to clarify, kindly please share from your experience and expertise. Last year I renewed my passport from my country of citizenship but I haven't updated this to IRCC my citizenship grant application has the information from my old/expired passport. On the day of oath ceremony when I mention them about the expired and renewed passport will that be an issue? As I have to declare it regardless. Thanks in advance

What interests them is 5 years before the application was signed. Unless you designed a time machine, time traveled to the past, and changed your passport somewhere within the 5 mentioned years, you're fine.

We’re currently finalizing most applications we received between
June 9 and 15, 2019.
If your application is complex, it may take us longer to process it.

Don't forget that "finalizing" means DM. Oath is a different story...

Test invite received on Sep 17, 2021, with window of Sep 20, 2021 to Oct 10, 2021
Appeared for online test Sep 22. Passed
Last update to file: Sep 16, 2021
Everything else: In progress apart from citizenship ceremony which is not started

I'm based in Vancouver, passed my test on June 2 2021 and DM on July 19 2021. Since then, I've been waiting for Oath Ceremony date. Is there anyone else with a similar timeline from BC?

Where exactly do you get this info? This is all I found:

Citizenship grant
12 months

Mine's been stuck with half my things 'in progress' without update since July 1, 2021.

This process has taken me 24 months now!!

Nothing to get worried. Just forget about your application; Sorry; Time will take its own time.

2018/2019 Applications are not their priority. They are looking at 2020/2021 application to improve their stats.
There are many like you and me.
I had test in Feb2021. 2 times done background cleared/expired/cleared. Now waiting to get expired for 3rd time.

OMG this is terrifying!!

I haven't even been asked for a new background check once yet! OMG!!

My PR card expired feb this year. I was holding out until I get citizenship but at this rate that's not gonna happen so I might as well get a PR application is AT THE SAME TIME (WHAT?!)

Hello everyone!
I have an UPDATE on my application:

Application send: October 18, 2019
Application delivered: October 24, 2019
AOR: January 22, 2020
In process: February 5, 2020

Updates:
Citizenship test status has been updated to In progress: July 14, 2021
Citizenship Test invite: July 22, 2021
Test passed: August 11, 2021

Some other date during the process of the application that I haven't mentioned before but as I see can be helpful to another people:
Background verification status has been updated to Completed: February 10, 2020


Now I am waiting for my Oath Invite letter.
