Thé guy is as confused as anything you can think of. He just kept saying so many things at the same thing so that maybe one of the can be true. Of which all of them often turn out to be total rubbish. He just want to stay relevant by all means.

He claims to be employed by IRCC previously. He is in some sort of a association of lawyers. He was also in some meetings with IRCC officials including the minister. He says a lot of things.

It’s irritating. They’ve now resumed every single visa program, except foreign skilled workers. Feels like lobbying money from universities who gained more demand of international students is what’s calling the shots.
Paying that kind of money to mediocre Canadian schools just for the sake of immigration is actually pretty funny. Getting education in Canada by not paying anything at all (i.e., through RA-ship) is fine, although it's mostly waste of time (speaking from experience). Like if you're gonna RA why not go get a decent US or EU degree right? But anyway. Actually spending literally 50-100 thousand dollars for those mediocre degrees with limited global value is... now that's insane.

Even Canadian citizens consider US degrees first. If they can't make it, they look at Canadian options.

I often hear him say that but it’s not translating into him giving use authentic information. All he does is gambling like every other person.

For software engineers like me, it doesnt matter from where you did your degree. However, a Canadian passport can open a lot of opportunities in US as well.

That’s where lobbying comes from. If Canadian degree didn’t come with a freebie PR, while Outland categories are extinct, no one would want to study in these pathetic universities.

A lot of opportunities is the TN-1 visa. Would you pay 100k CAD for a TN-1 visa? I wouldn't. I'd go straight for a US degree and get my HB-1 for free.

I am on h1b already. The problem is under Trump's era we have been shown the mirror, we are still on an immigrant visa and can be refused entry anytime.

That's what those lobbyists don't understand. I've said it before I'll say it again; the number of people who go for Canadian degrees today solely for immigration purposes wouldn't change no matter what the new legislation is. The lobby is obviously targeting outlanders. Now what's the percentage of outlanders who would pay Canadian schools just to immigrate? Far less than they anticipate. When I chose Canada out of all those far better options, my reason was FSW. Easy, transparent, and cheap immigration. Now why would I leave all the kickass job prospects in EU, UK, or US, or even AUS/NZ, and pick Canada if I'm gonna have to spend a crazy amount of money anyway?

Last time I checked my file is in Sydney, NS. How would it affect my processing? May Stamping might take time. But even then Covid numbers are low in Delhi and most of the country. Mark is just BSing. Plus there is no PPR for any other country as well, Its not just india.
There was few PPRs that were being issued.

True. The primary reason why most people, including myself, pick Canada is for the immediacy of freedom that comes with getting a PR before even setting foot there. I'd much rather go for UK or Australia if I have to study/work before getting a PR. The Tories seem to understand this, but the Liberals don't or don't just care.
