What happen after Biometric for spousal sponsorship from India.

My Husband got an email asking him for Bio Metric, he did not do a medical as yet, could someone please tell me what could be the next step. I am planning to visit him in October for one month, but if he does not have too much time left, i will however cancel my flight. someone please guide me.

After biometrics, you should get your MR within a few months of BioMetrics. Once Medical passes. Next step is for you to get your pre-arrival letter. After that is the last step which is the PPR (Passport Request).

Medicql request. After medical request there is the background checks which usually takes the longest. You are at the very early part of the process.

Yes you are in the early stages.. Usually for people who applied after Jan 2021.. it's been like this:


Month 1-3 AOR/Bio
Month 3-5 BG Check/AOR2
Month 6-8 Medical/Pre-Arrival
Month 9-12 Passport

Usually it goes AOR, biometric, medical background checks, approval. Due to long delays medicals were temporarily moved later on in the process but I think they are back to early on in the process. Your timeline is very ambitious. Background checks are usually 5+ months and not done in 5 months.

Usually it goes AOR, biometric, medical background checks, approval. Due to long delays medicals were temporarily moved later on in the process but I think they are back to early on in the process. Your timeline is very ambitious. Background checks are usually 5+ months and not done in 5 months.

i received the medical, and letter saying I the sponsor is eligible for sponsorship, when i logged onto my account to check the status, it also says decision is made. however i was told my application is in early stage from the last respond from the group here. i am totally confused. does anyone could tell me what could happen next. they asked for biometric yesterday via email, this morning, another email for medical and few hrs later another email saying application forwarded to Delhi for processing. very confusing.

i received the medical, and letter saying I the sponsor is eligible for sponsorship, when i logged onto my account to check the status, it also says decision is made. however i was told my application is in early stage from the last respond from the group here. i am totally confused. does anyone could tell me what could happen next. they asked for biometric yesterday via email, this morning, another email for medical and few hrs later another email saying application forwarded to Delhi for processing. very confusing.

Decision is made is only for determining that you are able to sponsor him. You still have many many months until full approval.
