At least we'll definitely get answers this month. 8 meaningless months and this is one that matters. Good answers or bad answers, we'll see which. But at least we'll find out more than "soon" or "we hear you". No more stupid "indicators". Just facts.
What if we get the regular ‘silent treatment’? I swear I can’t take 2 more months of absolute dead silence

The play-dead could continue between Sept 7 and Sept 20 but I don't see why we shouldn't hear good or bad news after Sept 20 regardless of the result. This whole shit show was just politics and that's done after the elections.

This might sound absolutely stupid but I think the NDP might actually form the govt with O'Toole and not JT. Will the NDP really bring a failed PM back into power? That'd give them a lot of shit and hurt their public support if you ask me. Such election results will mean that public doesn't want JT and wants to try someone new so the NDP might choose to form the govt with O'Toole.

I'm just joking around and don't mean disrespect to anyone It's not their fault they got invited. Anyone will grab that opportunity with both hands. I'm happy for anyone who strives to make their life better.
I just hope that the same love is given to us outland folks who have also done our due diligence and deserve to be in Canada.
Yeah, I am in your shoes. Let's hope we get back to the same processing speed.

Hey everyone! Why do you think it could be a good thing for us that Liberals and Trudeau loose that election ? (except that we hate them for making us waiting in the dark of course...) :p

Depends on which window you look through. If you are waiting for PPR, you can expect more delays if the government changes. On the other hand, Cons policies look to favor new skilled immigrants and have the potential to improve the existing system. Whether or not they implement those is a separate debate.

I agree with you. If there is a change in the government and they choose to change the immigration system then... We will wait for months before something happens!

It's been about two weeks since we submitted the survey. Wondering what changes to the 'operational plan' are being looked at.

"By collecting responses from thousands of people, IRCC will better understand the situations that its clients are facing and when they come to Canada, which will help inform our operational planning."

I'm sure IRCC has something planned for outland applicants and they have some strategy to issue PPR after border restrictions are removed. They have extended expiry/sent re medical requests to a large number of applicants. There is definitely some purpose behind it.

Yeah even I do feel that there are some plans in place. Hopefully we get to hear about them soon enough as its just about a week now to the lifting of border restrictions.

So sad this year....down to 466 from 471 due to losing points from my birthday...the only option left to increase my points is to learn french and I just dont have the time to learn the language....funny enough I knew some degree of french years back but I've forgotten a lot of it probably because I dont use the language...well...just needed to vent a little.
