FSW
yes a flip in government will hinder the PR processing and FSW draws for several more months. After waiting for so long for travel opening it will be great to wait another several month for PPR. But hey we will see Trudy lose what else we need. It seems like this group is becoming a more Politically influenced group than an immigration group.
Immigration never stopped whenever the power transfer happened between two parties!
Its all manipulation of numbers by the current government ,I don’t know what political upper hand they gained by leaving fsw applicants hanging by their necks,I can’t think of any!

In an alternate universe how cool it would’ve sounded that “we’ve welcomed xxxxxx number of federal high skilled workers (fully vaccinated)after we reopened our borders in may this year to counter coughvid-19 after effects”

So is there going to be a draw soon or not?
We will see - it is hard to predict anything. Border restrictions will be lifted on the 6th/7th of Sep. We have to wait and see what will be the iutcome and another uexcuse or simply no excuse and they will be quiet as of now

We keep comparing the situation in Canada to AUS/NZ and feeling better that Canada hasn't stopped immigration like AUS/NZ, but we're fools for thinking that. Canada DID stop immigration just like AUS and NZ if you look at the details and its effect on us in practice. So yeah, Canada stopped immigration on Jan 1 2021.
The main question is, why the hell there was not a single word said. I mean we got to know that document that was saying to stop FSW until border restrictions are in place but no one is speaking about it publicly. Not a single word.

Libs didn't wanna harm their propaganda. They stopped immigration quietly.

More than likely it is one of the reasons. Lets see what will happen this week and then border re-opening. If I am not wrong there were news given by IRRC that they will resume FSW last year. I can be wrong here. We took a chance and we have registered for New Brunswick Nurses PNP option. We will see what will happen.

There were no news or announcements last year. I doubt much will change after Sept 7. I'll look at the trajectory in the two weeks after Sept 20 and decide if I wanna continue trying to immigrate to Canada.

News like these keep my mood up;

Well - at this moment we cannot do anything more from our side.
This annoys me greatly; inaction. I could've chased opportunities in Germany UK Netherlands or US but permanency might be a question and I don't like questions about permanency so I can do nothing but sit and wait what will turn out in Canada. And wait makes me miss opportunities in those other countries. I can't express how much I'm mad at JT.

I can feel your pain. They should at least tell people what they are planning to do, when they will resume draws etc. so people can be reassured that draws will resume and we can just wait. I have no idea who had this idea to do not communicate anything. It just looks like they are avoiding this topic as fire. I am getting annoyed myself. Unfortunately for us Canada is where we want to live. Some of us are in better positions in terms of standard of living etc. Some people are even under bigger pressure coming over from poorer countries. However all of us have one goal, immigrate to Canada...

Even if that would be the truth :) it will not stop them doing FSW draws - simply because numbers of ITAs DOES NOT EQUAL to the target set by IRCC. Why he said that is because most of the candidates are already there in Canada. They do not ahve to travel for landing. I guess people that are waiting for their PPR's etc. will eventually land there this year. There is quiet few of them.

If FSW draws will begin again, then these ITAs will not be counted towards this year's target, it will be for the next year. There is no way if we will get ITA this year, we will land in Canada the same year. It will be 2022.
