I think a lot many especially those whose apps have been under process since more than a year / two years would be interested in something like this.

I would rather pay a reasonable premium charge than go through the study route as that would significantly reduce my saving...

How many of you guys are ready to pay that type of premium charges to expedite the process? Just wondering.

I'm ready. I think this is a really good idea. People already work hard to save up POF. People can then send their app in and keep saving money, then switch to premium processing in say 6 months to ensure their apps are finalized quickly.

They will not charge huge amount for processing may be min. amount that people can afford.

To be honest I'd be willing to pay up to CAD5000 if they can guarantee my file will be finalized with a PPR under 4 months. That amount is like paying an officer's full salary for the month so the officer can focus on my app and finish eligibility, medicals, info sharing in a month. Then we wait for CSIS for 3 months to do my security and the officer can take another day or two on it to issue CoPR and PPR. -> 4 months in total

Exactly. Right now the situation basically has nothing to do with covid anymore. Neither does it have anything to do with the election. I think no FSW for the year might be pre-determined by IRCC earlier this year, because they knew that they were going to do the 27K CEC mega draw and 90K TR to PR pathway. These should be on their agenda at least several months before Jan 2021. They don't make random decisions. Since CEC this year basically satisfies the immigration needs, there's simply no reason to resume FSW. No troll, just logic. If one day in 2021 FSW is indeed resumed, please quote this reply and slap me on the face.

Also the premise that says 2021s draws are enough to meet this year's goals is not correct. We did the math before. They need to land about 20-30k FSWs this year to meet the target.

Infact any type of draws at all (CEC, PNP, FSW) from September would not contribute to meeting this year’s immigration target. So it would be really lame for them to keep doing CEC-only through out the 4th quarter months of this years when they have very high-scoring candidates to pick from to meet next year’s 411,000 target (2022)

sorry pls. I think I’m at a loss here. Is it an illegal thing to travel on a visit while awaiting ppr? Or are u insinuating that he wants to stay back in a visit visa? Hell no!
FYI, he’s been to Canada for about 3 times already. He would hv done that if that’s his plan. All he wanted to know was what are his options in event that he’s in Canada and his ppr meets him there?
Pls, never in your life use the anonymity offered by platforms like this to attempt to “scare” or “freak out” people with honest intentions to seek opinion out there!
