Yeah I'm expecting IRCC to only start communicating their plans for FSW on or shortly after this date. It may be days, weeks before we start seeing their plans implemented. I just want to hear something from them for our cohort...that's all

Yep, I believe so too. Forget the diplomacy of not responding to bashings on Twitter, Marco actually sees them. He's improvising to achieve his targets to look like a success, but also smart enough to understand that too much improvisations would be brandished 'convenient' and thus, improvident. I strongly believe things are going to change soon. We're all angry but let's not allow our angers get in the way of reasoning.

Exactly. We can see they have stopped doing things in a crazy way. I mean they are more doing things with a stage approach. As of now the best we can do is just sit tight and see what will happen with international border restrictions. @Jaycejay said that multiple times same as me and few other people is well, more than likely most of the applications are processed already and they are just waiting to press that big GREEN button to flood us with PPRs.

It is hard to believe that they are doing nothing. In my opinion there is something behind the scene that we do not see it. Just wait till middle of September

If I am not wrong there were a lot of posts about medicals being extended for one year. I think I have seen one today.

Guys honestly - lets take a small brake from immigration or politics topics, I can see that a lot of you are just angry and dissapointed. Lets wait these few days as we can clearly see that 7th Seotember is coming very quick and it is just around the corner.
Believe me, there will be a time when you will be laughing at this from Canada.

September 7 border re-opening has little or nothing to do with PR applications at IRCC. IRCC has a target and as far as they are able to meet up that target they wont be bordered whether the target is met from CEC , FST , PNP or FSW

There was communication saying that FSW processing for outland applicants will be limited due to border restrictions. Look at the news at the begining of this year. How do you expect to get a PR if there are restricitions on the border?

With the huge backlog they've got inviting more people will only compound their problems. It is possible that the reduced draws (3000) we've seen over the past few weeks is to enable their personnel accommodate the backlogs from other immigration programs. We can only speculate in the absence of communication

I don't expect anything from the federal government of Canada but what I want for all of the FSW folks in the pool from dec 2020- present is that the penalty for age (5-6 points per age) should be taken away since it's the immigration department who halted the draws and not anyone else. Because of their delays many folks won't get an ITA if the cut off won't reach 464 that's the maxed out with age penalty at 31 years. Or they should invite with low scores (upto 460) to include all those who waited for 7 months, then it'll be a fair play considering how low the CEC went. The epic low scores (75) in the history of legal immigration in the whole world.

It is possible that the reduced draws (3000) we've seen over the past few weeks is to enable their personnel accommodate the backlogs from other immigration programs.

Doubt it. They would've cut down to 3000 right after a 6000. They decided to do a gradual drop, first to 4500 then to 3000. Also check IRCC's history after EE, they never cared about backlog and there was always backlog. As I've shared before, the avg processing time for FSW was 9 months in 2019; way before the pandemic.

At the end it is hard to predict what they will do. Maybe we will see a massive draws for the next year that will happen this year. It is really hard to know. I am waiting till mid of September to see what update they will bring to us

with al due respect pal, "their backlog" , is that the problem of an applicant ? is that caused by us? or is it caused by any other country?
Their backlogs is their responsibility as it's a department of the federal government of Canada, The backlogs represents their incapability not the applicants' .
The covid lockdowns was never an excuse, if it was amazon wouldn't have been working.
Maybe i'm wrong with all my views i shared here, so opinions welcome.

so they can do whatever they want and it's our responsibility. yes that's right, so what about the backlogs? That's our responsibility? And they can just ignore it as they don't want to be bothered about it?
