Hello All,

I have initiated my first semester payment via Flywire but I am confused about completing it.

My Agent says that visiting the branch and paying there but I feel Online transfer would be more feasible like RTGS or NEFT? Could someone please clear this as soon as possible?

Flywire is costly I'll recommend bank or you can do it from bookmyforex or visit any bank or you can check with your bank where you have funds.

When you have options available then choose the economical one rest it up to you. For example : if you paying fee $8000 equals to INR 4,66,679.36 but flywire charging you 4,74,640 now if you see here there is difference of 7,960.64 ( Approx 8000 INR ). Now if you go with bank then this difference will be approx 2000 or 2500 still you are saving 5000. So choice is all yours. Cheers!

One more info for you if your amount exceeds 7 lakh then there me additional taxes which may be around 11,000 INR

For taxes, I am paying first semester fees via my account and second semester’s via my brother’s account.

But how will you pay directly using your Indian bank account?

Contact your bank where you have saving account or go to there website over there you can see the option to transfer money or go to bookmyforex website over there you can see the option to transfer the money to abroad for education purpose.

Better go to the bank and do an RTGS. They will make sure before sending it. I think Flywire will give you an Indian bank account for transfer and then the college receives it later, maybe 2 days. If its an education loan make sure to ask for tax refund, they have mentioned it in instruction letter.
