Hi everyone, so I was searching for a while trying to find an answer to my question but couldn't. Basically, my wife and I have been living together in Canada for the past 18 months. She
is US citizen I am Canadian Citizen. She was on a work visa then a 6 month visitor extension, but because of unforeseen circumstances she has to return to the US for about 6 months.
We are completing an outland application for her PR now, but she is going back to the US in a few days, so I will be here in Canada and she will be living in the US when we send in our application.
What we are confused about is in the checklist where it asks "are you and your spouse currently living together?". We should technically answer "no", and provide the information it asks for, but we have many of the proofs requested if we were to answer "Yes". These include rental agreement, joint bank account, copies of government issued documents.
Should we answer "no", and include the proofs requested for "Yes"? And if we do provide this information, it seems like it would make the proofs requested for the "no" option pointless, because a joint bank account is way better proof than social media messages and and airline tickets. This is really confusing us.
Basically we have all the proof of previously living together but we are going to be separated when we submit our application. Anyone have an idea of how to navigate this?
Thank you in advance!
