Can I take PR photos in countries other than Canada?

Hi, I am renewing my pr card, after viewing the pr card photo requirment I am wondering if there's any requirement about the location of the photo studio, like where the photo studio should be? Must it be a photo studio in Canada? Or could it be a photo studio in any other countries like US, Japan, Korea, or China, etc.?

Can be done anywhere. The size requirements are important though.

thanks so much for your reply. Just one more question, if its taken in Japan, should the information of the studio be written in English at the back of the photo? Or is it ok if it's written in Japanese? Oh, is it a must that the information can only be written by the studio? Can I write the info myself?

Since Japanese is not one of the official languages of Canada, you want to try it in English

We just hand-wrote the info ourselves in English, as the studio neither had a stamp nor the foreign-language ability.

(We didn't have any issue - no idea how strict IRCC is in other contexts about this()
