Hello everyone,
I have been refused recently for a study permit for Fall 2021 by the IRCC visa office in London,UK in the non-SDS category. I am an Indian citizen living in Sweden as a temporary resident. Rather than reapplying, I am seeking judicial review. My questions are as follows:
1)Do I need to defer my admission offer for Fall 2021 for entry in 2022(Fall or Winter) before judicial review?
2)How months does the judicial review process take?
3)Is an updated financial statement required during the judicial review process?
4)Do I need to reapply like before in case judicial review is successful?
5)What are the various stages of judicial review?
6)Can I appear in the court virtually during the oral hearing?

What is your work and study history? What degree did you do in Canada and at what school? Did you finish? Why did you move to Sweden and not apply for PGWP? What are you doing in Sweden? What degree are you applying for with the current study permit?

Thanks for the reply. I cannot share my entire profile because of my job in Sweden, but academically speaking, my broad academic qualification is in the field of social sciences. I have a previous Masters's from India and then another Masters's from Sweden. My previous study in Canada was through an inter-university academic exchange from my university in Sweden. I studied at the Faculty of Arts of Sciences at the University of Toronto, I was not eligible for the degree track and PGWP. I have studied and now working in Sweden. I applied for 1 yr postgraduate certificate at Seneca College.

You already have two masters degrees and applied for a certificate (lower than any of your masters) -- this commonly leads to rejections

Yes,I feared rejection too, because I have seen it happening with others in the forum.
Yea i dont think a judicial review will do anything for you as the officer was well within his right to doubt your intentions to just be a student given you high academic record already and going for just a certificate. You would have much better chances going for a phd instead (those are rarely rejected), or given your advanced degree and ill assume *some* work experience, you should just try express entry or some provicncial nominee programs

You sound really convinced that a JR is the way to go despite all the apparent problems with your last application that has been highlighted here and in the other post. So I'm just going to wish you all the luck in the world as you would obviously need it. I must say I admire your determination, zeal and tenacity even if I think they are misplaced in this case :) .
