They need to finalize as much applications as the can and stop dilly-dallying
IRCC: Canada welcomed over 35,000 new immigrants in June:
June 2021 was the first time during the pandemic Canada landed over 25,000 new permanent residents in a month. It will need to welcome an average of 43,000 newcomers per month between July and December to achieve its 401,000 newcomer target for 2021.
So even if they clear all the fsw backlog it wouldn’t be enough for just one month’s quota?I remember the total fsw processing inventory is like 23000 cases in 2020 but I’m not sure.
But why do they set a target like this and not processing fsw in reality. It’s just bemusing. Besides, there are so many contradictory signals, like updating the POF but continue with CEC draws, exempting copr holders from travel ban but still let so many 2019 AOR guys waiting.
You are correct; pending FSW files from last year isn’t more than 25,000 (far less than the number of immigrants they need to welcome every month from July to meet this year’s target). I’m completely clueless why they have almost paused movement of these skilled and highly experienced immigrants. So even if they clear all the fsw backlog it wouldn’t be enough for just one month’s quota?I remember the total fsw processing inventory is like 23000 cases in 2020 but I’m not sure.

I hope all goes well and we approach September without any Covid19 situation spikes. Just curious to see what excuse they would give by then. Hopefully we start seeing actual movements from August
Hope your finger has not been tired, as you crossed them from long time..heheheFingers crossedas always

Exactly. Something they can process within a month or two max.You are correct; pending FSW files from last year isn’t more than 25,000 (far less than the number of immigrants they need to welcome every month from July to meet this year’s target). This data is even old, see this: https://covid19tracker.ca/vaccinationtracker.htmlWith such high rates of vaccinations... a spike would mean vaccines don't work. I doubt they'd want to go that route.

This could be last week’s figure; the current vaccination threshold is even more impressive. With such high rates of vaccinations... a spike would mean vaccines don't work. I doubt they'd want to go that route.
