Hi guys,

I just got refusal letter today for following reasons.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
• Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue.

You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.

should i improve my financials such as bank statement and reapply?

the thing is, when uploading documents, i thought i could upload multiple pdfs at supporting document section, so i only uploaded my main bank's statement which had little bit over the course fee. other funds are in my other banks which didn't get uploaded but i did mention it on my supporting letter.

is this refusal purely on finances or should i request for notes?

thank you in advance for any help guys.

I'm guessing it's purely financial.

If you have the option to defer your admission, apply for your notes. It takes about a month, but you'll have a better picture of what's exactly going on.
If you can't defer, just gather all your docs in one pdf file, make sure it covers both your study and living expenses, and apply again asap.

Your refusal appears financial. What do you mean you thought you could upload multiple PDFs? Before you clicked submit, did you not know you hadn't included all your proof of funds? And afterwards, why did you not send the other PoFs via webform?

Last time i did visa application was for Australian one about 10 years ago and i am sure their system allowed to attached multiple files on supporting documents. so what i did is on the financial statement section, uploaded 3 files, one by one, so basically i was changing uploaded file each time. totally my fault, didn't read properly. realized this after a while but i couldn't upload anymore files afterwards and also didn't know i could submit it through webform. just assumed that again like australian immigration they would ask or ask for more documents instead of refusing right away.

Again, its my mistake and got no one to blame. i just wasted money and time..

Just applied again and made all files into 1 pdf.

Anyone know if it would be a bit quicker for the officers to get to my file or same as first time applicant?

i hope so, as the reason given for refusal always goes back to financials. i reapplied again with all the supporting documents so hopefully good news soon!

That was indeed a costly oversight. Hopefully that is all that was wrong with your application and you carefully double checked everything this time.

It will not be quicker, it will follow the same process. Just because you have submitted a previous application doesn't mean your subsequent ones will be accelerated. I had my SP approved in 5 weeks but I had to reapply because I wanted to change my DLI. Nothing else changed in my new application, besides adding a new LOA. It took almost 8 weeks for the new one to be approved. There's also no guarantee you will get a decision before Fall starts.
