I raised a webform and found this out

Is there anything I can do?

I applied under the covid policy for restoration dec. 2020.

I had dropped out of school 2019

My permit expired June 2020

thx in advance

When exactly did you drop out of school in 2019? Schools are required to notify IRCC if you drop out of school and then IRCC generally cancels your study permit.

Depending on when you stopped attending school, you may have fallen out of status in 2019 and you may not qualify under the public policy.

This may be the reason why your application is taking so long to process.

Stop January 2019

But it says eligibilty has not even started. Does this mean no visa officer has started looking at the file?

If you stopped attending back in January 2019, then your study permit was most likely canceled back in 2019 and you don't qualify for restoration under the public policy. I hope you stopped working back in January 2019 too when you stopped attending school.

IRCC has likely started looking at your application. My guess is that they are assessing if you even qualify under the public policy. My guess is that you don't and you should be expecting a refusal (and an order to leave Canada).
