But here in my case the criminality security and info sharing is valid.
So, what do you think for in process for background verification?
well if those checks are all valid then someone just needs to review everything put their stamp of approval and you are good to go(or receive a PPR/E-COPR - depending on your stream etc..)

Got my notes today:
Eligibility: Passed
Security: Not Started
Criminality: Passed
Medical: Passed
Info Sharing: In-Progress

How much time does Info Sharing and Security take? Any ideas

Visa Office: Ottawa
In good old days (pre-pandemic) I think these did not take too long. Now its anyone's guess really. I have heard on this thread people from November AOR getting PPRs/COPRs so my guess is those checks still don't take a long time. Its just IRCC is putting most of these outland application on some kind of a holding pattern until people can start coming over to Canada. September seems like a good time as indicated by federal govt to open borders to all nationalities if they are fully vaccinated - so thats when you will see some of these statuses magically getting updated with "complete"/"passed" and PPRs start getting (e)mailed out!

BGC verification means criminality, info sharing and security.

If the webform response states that the verifications are currently valid, “valid” here indicates, that the documents required for the specific stage are “legal, not expired, and accepted by IRCC,” and no further input is required by the applicant.

@legalfalcon Please can you assist.

Security takes an average of 110 days as per the security screening manual after it is initiated. See https://bit.ly/3apWglN

You will have to inform IRCC. First, to be eligible to receive an eCOPR you have to be in Canada.

If you are not, then you will have to inform IRCC and ask them to send you instructions to submit your passport if you are not from a visa-exempt country. As soon as your receive a eCOPR, all existing visas are cancelled as you become PR effective the date on e-COPR. To enter Canada you will need a PR card / PRTD or a PR visa.
Thank you for your response. I understand now that eCOPR is something that gets processed after I get to Canada. So, let me reframe my question.

Can I request ircc to allow me to process my ppr in a country which is not my normal country of residence.

In my case, if I'm in the US on a tourist visa (not a resident), can I get my PR visa processed at a Canadian embassy or vfs Canada there or would I have to come to India (normally my country of residence) to get it processed.

I have Indian passport so I am not from a visa exempt country.

Also a follow up question regarding eCOPR. How long after reaching Canada does it normally take to receive eCOPR. Also, how long does it typically take to get the PR card.

Good news: Canada is opening its border to everyone on September 9th, 2021 provided they are fully vaccinated. Lets hope this should speed up some PPRs that were help up for so long.
Any link to the news where you read this? because as far as I can see, All they talked about was the American border reopening

YEs, you can request IRCC to send you a PPR for any country. However, it can take time for IRCC to send you instructions, and depending on what country you are requesting, it can take time to process. So before you do that make sure you will be in that country for 1-3 months and also after you submit your passport, it can take 3-7 weeks for cOPR and PR visa to be issued.

Dear @legalfalcon

For people who have never received their first PPR, what will be their PPR expiry date? the query comes as soon my medicals will expire and from what i have heard the PPR are usually valid till medicals are.

so say things go smoothly this time and september we see PPR roll out worldwide, what should we expect in terms of expiry dates / re medicals / PCC renewals? Just want to know this as per your experience.

thanks

It’s totally up to you, nobody knows if reopening borders for vaccinated tourists will trigger IRCC to come back to processing PNP-FSW applications. Logically it has to, as we won’t have travel restrictions, but it’s really hard to tell. We will only see if it is so in September-October.

Considering CEC-Inland is prioritized at the moment and it really takes around 6 months to get PPR, I would personally reapply. But you can also say that you should have done it months ago and now waiting for another draw and refreshing some of the documents would take you more than 6 months and you never know if it would be worth it.

Is it even legal to re apply? will I get into trouble or anything?

I am frustrated with myself because I thought I was invited into CEC, but after I reviewed my AOR, It says "We are pleased to invite you to apply for permanent residence under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). This means I am in EE PNP not in EE CEC, right?

Anyone with EE BC PNP still waiting? I see some people even from March 2020 AOR still waiting... OMG...
