Hello. Wow, it’s almost 11 months now since they got your application.. did you try contacting the immigration for a temporary number at least to know that your application wasn’t lost? They also reply to emails. May I ask which visa center did you submit your application? Is it considered a complex application?

We have a temporary number and we even reached out to our MP, they have our files unfortunately they havent started processing it yet. I wouldn’t consider it as a complex application and we dont have a dependent. We always are always given a reason that backlog is causing delays. What’s disheartening at this point is seeing new applications get proccessed waaaay faster than the backlogs. Depressing to be honest, but we are trying our best to stay positive.

I'm also Sept 2 with no AOR. Which emails do they reply to? I submit complaints via the feedback form on a regular basis but have never received any replies from them. They are an absolute disaster in my opinion and completely unaccountable.

That is a good thing I suppose, application not lost. Yea being positive is the least we could do at this time. Nova Scotia just reopened so let’s hope for more progress. We actually reached out to our MP before but they can’t do anything. They said the only thing we could do is wait. We also reached out to another government sector but they never got back on us. My uncle is a retired immigration officer of Canada and currently has his private agency doing immigration stuff. He mentioned that even inside Canada, all applications are delayed. Also, he stated that, basically, the entire process speed depends on the how the officer handles it’s cases/clients. So we’ll be lucky if our application goes to someone who really cares. By the way, are you currently in Philippines? May I ask which province are you from?

We contacted them through the IRCC Webform. That’s the link.

They responded with a generic reply after a week. You can try that if it will work with you. I mentioned in one of my replies about the recent reopening of Canada, it’s significant, I think, so hope we will get progress the soonest time. Hang in there. May I know PA is from which country?

Just wanted to post an update that we finally received the AOR 1 on July 15th! For some reason, my information (and the info for many others, apparently?) seems to have been deleted from the Google tracking tool, so I re-added it back in with the latest info in case it's helpful for tracking stats. Hopefully the rest of the process goes well, and good luck to everyone else still waiting on the AOR.

You and I have the same application submitted date of Sept 21 2020. I got AOR April 14 2021. Nothing since. Looks like we have the same lazy officer lol
