One question, sine you and your spouse were together, what to use for proof of communication? Just a address proof?
Were you specifically asked to show proof of communication?
I am not an expert but that's usually not a requirement for addition of spouse/partner particularly if living together.

Hmm, interesting!. If they live together, it'd be rare to communicate through WhatsApp/email.
The point is that you usually don't live with your partner from the first contact you had or your first meeting.
My partner and I live together too, but I sent screenshots on the communication we had in different years before our marriage simply to show that we were in contact from long time ago and our relationship is not fraudulent.
In case you don't have such evidence, I suppose shared utility bills or property rental contract could help you.

I received a request letter in my profile which was a spousal relationship questionnaire (inclusions of a spouse on a permanent residence application). As a part of this form, I had to send communication proof (examles were phone bills, emails, letters, texts and chat messages, etc.). I also had to send photos on our travels, dates and outgoings, marriage and engagement ceremony together with answering other parts.

Not it wasn't, i couldn't find any information on this form on the net. So I suppose it is a newly added one.
The name of the file was Relationship questionnaire-Spouse-Marriage-EN
And the title of the form was inclusion of a spouse on the permanent residence application.

Hi Everyone,
I need help. My husband raised webform to add me to his ongoing PR file.
Below are timelines
Outland - India
ITA - March 21,2020
AOR - June 21,2020
Got Married - 25 Nov,2020
Informed IRCC marriage - 5 Dec,2020
Confirmation via email - 4 Jan,2021
Copr - 9 Feb,2021( Only for Husband )

After so many calls to agents and raising webforms I get response that application is now closed.
What to do in this case.

I had the same case, but the difference is in inland with spouse outland. if your application is closed, you will need to go the path of spousal sponsorship I believe. In my case, they reopened my application and added the spouse and its in process now.

so what i did was, i did not accept the COPR, and emailed IRCC back (portal email) and called the customer support of the discrepancy and they reopened the file.

Hi All,
Aor is on june 5 and i am going to get married in august but seeing everyone’s reply that after adding spouse we need to submit birth certificate along with marriage certificate. In my case my spouse is not having birth certificate and now to register for birth certificate will take months to get it can anyone please help me whether birth certificate is really mandatory or can i submit any alternate document in place of that ?

Thanks in advance

A birth Certificate is not mandatory! Birth certificate is only for dependent children!

I did not accept the COPR, rather what I did was write a brief explanation stating about my marriage and I provided the documents way back in march and my spouse is not added to the application. Post that I called 1 (888) 242-2100 and spoke to the agent and he confirmed the discrepancy from there end. And reopened my file.. if you accept COPR there is no turning back (until I know) and you will need to apply for spousal sponsorship.

In my case I was ok to wait for my file to reopen and my spouse to be added to my application and be processed. Since spousal sponsorship paper work is painful (atleast for me)..
