Hi peanutbutterfly,

This is a great idea. Could you please confirm a few things for me though
  1. How did you obtain this email ID "IRCC.IN-RROC-CORR-RI.IRCC@cic.gc.ca"
  2. Is this email ID location specific. As I see IRCC.IN I suspect it to be from India.
  3. Have you or your acquaintance tried this yourself or themselves and received a positive response?
Your response will be much appreciated.
I would strongly suggest not to email using this template on your own until ircc sends email to you “ do you want to immigrate “ as this will only cause delay and they will not respond. Their email clearly says that they will only entertain emails that have been replied to, Any thing else will be deleted or not responded. I know the agony but trust me you just need to wait till they reach out to you. Hope this helps

I am going to apply for expess entry and really very confused about proof of funds. I have read conflicting information about POF on IRCC website. I am from India and I have LMIA supported job offer( for my PR application only not work permit). I also have ainp nomination. I want to know if I am required to submit POF ? On IRCC website, at one place it is written that we do not need to show POF if we are authorised to work in Canada and we have valid job offer. At other place, it is written that we are exempt from providing proof of funds if we have valid job offer only. As I am not authorized to work in Canada since I don't have work permit but I have valid job offer, do I need to show proof of funds ? I have read and heard so much conflicting information on different websites as well and contacted many IRCC regulated lawyers and consultants and their opinion on this is also conflicting. I think you must clear this doubt. This is the link of the website where this information is given: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1145 Please check the information in the mid and at the end. Thank you in advance.
If you have lmia supported job offer (which entitles you to claim 50 points) then your do not need to show POF.

@legalfalcon ....please advise sir

Thanks, I guess we wait some more. Does your application status for medical also show -
  • We did not receive the results of your required medical exam. Check your medical exam request message below for details?
I checked with the medical center and they assured me that the reports were sent and IRCC confirmed the receipt on email.
Not sure why it's still not reflecting on the portal. :/
Received PPR today.

Hi @legalfalcon and other respectable members !!
My passport currently has 5.5 months of validity left and has a single entry valid PR Visa till november 2021. Can I renew my passport now as I have to first travel to third country to get Covid report and then take flight to Canada. Can I renew the passport and carry both new & old passports (old passport with valid single entry PR visa till november 2021) at Port of Entry? Will I get entry in Canada?
Also do I need to notify IRCC that I have renewed my passport? As I am not sure that whether the COPR should have updated passport number or not. Kindly help please!!
Yes, you should renew your passport. When a passport is renewed any valid visas on the expired passport continue remain valid, but you will have to carry both passports.

You do not need to inform IRCC about the renewal of your passport as your file is approved and closed so no changes or updates can be made.

Who does not need proof of funds
You don’t need to show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family if

  • you’re applying under the Canadian Experience Class or
  • you’re authorized to work in Canada and you have a valid job offer, even if you apply under the Federal Skilled Worker Program or the Federal Skilled Trades Program
Keep your funds up to date in your profile. The system may find that you’re eligible for more than 1 program. You don’t always know ahead of time which program you’ll be invited under.

See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/proof-funds.html

If you have a LMIA and your job offer meets the requires as listed above, you still need a work permit to be authorised to work in Canada.

If you do not have a work permit, you should show PoF.

@pavie24 @Fmegha86 @Sahilvee @idhar_chicha - read through few posts where in people who raised passport submission webform on 17th April, received payment link yesterday. Now, as per webform link - https://vfs-cic.mioot.com/forms/PS/ , the service closed on 19th April. Guessing they might have covered all pending requests and hopefully close to opening up for rest. Fingers crossed!!

The pattern from VFS and the Canadian High Commission has been to open up a section of the processing every week to 10 days. And usually their updates have appeared on Saturdays/Sundays to start on the coming Monday. Fingers crossed, I hope we are next.

Anyone know if the rest of the opening is also phased? Like if they'll open it chronologically for April PPR, then May, then June?

I think so they might or may be it will again be random let’s see when they open so that we can fill the webform for passport submission
Yeah - its just a guess for everyone at this point. My guess is that theyll just open up the Passport submission link for everyone, probably around 15/18 July onwards...
