My student visa was refused with the reason that my motivation to study this program is not genuine. The course was related to my previous education and experience. I attached a CA property evaluation certificate to prove home ties. In funds, I showed my parents' ITRs and bank statements. In sop, I explained my short term and long term goals. Don't know what else they want in order to believe that I am a genuine student.

From what I am seeing from many years most students who are getting rejected are applying to colleges which are just diploma mills. I rarely see someone being rejected if they are applying for Masters, Bachelors or Phd's if their career progression makes sense. For example going to study masters after bachelors.

If you have Bachelors already apply for masters. Colleges are mostly trade schools with no value imo and visa officers are seeing it as people abusing colleges for immigration. Thats why most visas are rejected.

Applied to northeastern University in Toronto. I have 2 years of experience in IT. I was previously rejected because I opted project management course. This time my course was IT.

I think past rejection is also being counted but you should order GCMS notes to better understand why they rejected you as over there officer provide little brief which you can take a look. Also when did you apply? Did you get your decision today?

Like the other poster said apply for GCMS notes. Had you applied for the same for your previous rejection? If not, applying for that as well could help better understand your situation.

I had applied for gcms notes after my previous refusal. It only mentioned that since my course is different, I am not a bona fide student. This time, the course is same.

The duration is 21 months. University is northeastern Toronto. Course is related to my previous background. Reason given by VO, motivation to study this program is not reasonable.

Because he applied to the University of Northeastern (which is not even the right name), a college mill in an office building. Anyone can get in and go there. Few have heard of it. Should be applying to a public university.

The name is northeastern University, campus is Toronto. Maybe you are right I should have applied to some other university.
