Hi, could I please ask where exactly can one call IRCC at? I am situated outside Canada and have tried several ways tot contact IRCC but to no avail. I tried two numbers (+1 (613) 944-4000 and +1 888 242 2100) but it didn’t work out.
Hi it’s always beneficial to contact through web forms . They generally take a week time to reply. However, considering COVID IRCC staff is working with minimal staff member and is unable to revert back over calls .

Hi Everyone,

I am planning to fly on July 4 as my COPR will be expiring on July 7 . Based on the new travel guidelines, I would like to know if we need any AL to be shown or just valid COPR and other related travel documents (passports, tickets etc) are enough?
Please check the latest COVID guidelines to travel to Canada . You possibly require a negative COVID report, Certification if you got your vaccination done (for details check cic website).
As far as your documents are concerned . You need a landing paper (COPR), passport , address where you going to be staying at as they will ask you to send your PR card, details of how much amount you are bringing to Canada ( cash or traveller cheque please disclose everything). They might ask you few questions like which province you are going to ? How long you gonna stay in Canada - Better to answer forever.
Are you single or married ?
TIP-:
Apply for your SIN number at the airport.
Thanks

May I ask if your CoPR also has a watermark " not valid for travel " due to the restrictions in place at the time of issuing it?

Hi,
Does anyone know how to contact IRCC? I am in tough situation. My gcms notes show that copr was sent to be on feb, 2020 with validity till August 2020 but I haven't received the document in my email. Repeated webform resulted in standard response only. My visa office is newdelhi. Since, IRCC will be issuing guidelines for expired COPR holders soon and i don't have the expired document, I don't know what my application status will be counted as.
Please I need some advice regarding this.

You can call IRCC via this number +1 888 242 2100, if you are outside Canada you need to acquire a canadian number via apps like Text Now or Hushed! I hope it helps. You might as well loop in @legalfalcon for advice.

IRCC updated their website for expired COPRs:

If you have an expired COPR, you won’t be able to travel to Canada until we reissue your documents. Normally, you’d have to reapply, but right now we’re making exceptions for people who couldn’t travel to Canada due to travel restrictions related to COVID-19.

We’ve already contacted most people with expired COPRs issued on or before March 18, 2020, to explain what to do. If we already sent you instructions to do a new medical or submit updated documents, follow them and wait for us to tell you what happens next. You don’t need to contact us again.

We’re also working to contact anyone else with expired COPRs, including those issued after March 18, 2020.

What happens next:

We’ll send you an email about your application.
If you answer the email and tell us you still want to come to Canada, we’ll tell you what to do next.
We may ask you for new medicals and/or updated information.
If you don’t respond, we’ll keep your file closed and you’ll have to reapply when you’re ready to come to Canada.
When we email you, we’ll ask you to tell us if your family situation has changed (for example, newborn, marriage, divorce) so we can update your application and ask you for any other documents we need. We may also need updated documents if the ones you previously submitted are no longer valid (police certificates, medical exams, etc.)

Do not do an up-front medical exam. If you need a new medical, we’ll send you new instruction forms to take with you to the doctor after you reply to our email. This will help avoid processing delays.

To avoid delays, we ask that you don’t contact us via our web form or through the processing office email. If you have already contacted us, please wait for our instructions.

We expect people with a COPR and permanent resident visa that are valid until October 1, 2021 or after to have enough time to come to Canada before their documents expire.

Travelling to Canada

You can travel to Canada once we confirm to you in writing that we

re-issued your documents and
sent you a reprinted COPR and (if you need one) a new visa sticker in your passport
If we reissue your COPR, we’ll send you the documents you need to travel

Hi All,

IRCC mentions to allow fully vaccinated people from 11:59PM, July 5th (Monday - night). Does it mean that fron July 6th fully vaccinated people can travel and need not meet quarentine requirements ?
