@Alberta2018 did you submit PCC from Canada? This stuff is confusing me. Other threads are saying you need to submit RCMP as they are asking any country 6 months +. Request I got for PCC states any country 6 months + so technically Canada PCC is required but IRCC website states you don't need that.

I applied for Toronto Police Criminal Record Check and I got email that it has been processed and has been mailed to my address but then some people are saying we need the fingerprint done and get the 'Certified Criminal Record Check' and fingerprints are necessary. The IRCC website states the name of the document as Criminal Record Check and not Certified Criminal Record Check.

Moreover RCMP website states that you can got criminal record check from Police Services and if there is common name match they will ask for fingerprints and if they don't facilitate fingerprints, they will recommend you to a third party fingerprint agency and all that. But in my case they 'processed' it (Toronto Police Services) and mailed to me so that means they didn't require my fingerprints! Right?

So am I good to upload the PCC from my home country and the the criminal record check from Toronto Police Services or get the fingerprints done and then get the RCMP check. The issue is about the time tge fingerprints check, 3-5 weeks and I only am left with 26 days to upload my pcc..

I know its a long one! Any input anyone?

And for people who got the PCC request, did y'all just upload the one from your home country or RCMP too? And if just from your home country, did it pass?

Also did anyone get specific request for Canadian Police Certificate or its the same generic request.

I submitted PCC from my country on May 6th, and RCMP name based check through webform ( Calgary Police Service didn't do fingerprints check ).
For PCC I think the only mandatory one is PCC from your home country. When IRCC asks for Canadian PCC later, it has to be RCMP fingerprints check.

IRCC emailed me yesterday and asked for a marriage certificate for me and my wife in order to proceed with the application. Now, the issue that both I and my wife don't have a marriage certificate. We don't have time or money to go back to India (home country) in order build a marriage certificate. Instead, we have notarized marriage affidavits and other form of proofs such as adhaar card with spouse name written. Our affidavit is properly notarized and it says that my <wife name> is my legally wedded etc. Can IRCC reject my application for not providing a marriage certificate explicilty?

@Tomican, Yes I got the AOR on June 23. BIL and Request letter for PCC on June 22 (linked with gc key on June 22, letter was already there for PCC on June 22).

Issue I am facing is that I don't have my Home country PCC yet and neither one from Toronto Police services. The toronto police service criminal record check has been processed and mailed to me 2 days back so I am expecting that Monday/Tuesday and my home country PCC in 2 weeks. This fingerprint rcmp check takes 3-4 weeks, I don't wanna make it long.... Thats why was a bit worried.

Tbh their letter should be more specific (some say they have received specific reason RCMP request, but I haven't seen one yet so can't confirm) about which PCC they need because the IRCC website states something else...

Oh that gives me some relief. I think then the Home country PCC should be fine and the Toronto Police Criminal Record Check should be good.. Hope I get them both soon.

I was seeing someone's timeline they got the portal email 5 days after the submission of PCC. So looks good, but them PCCs'...............
