The Canadian High Commission in New Delhi has confirmed that the VACs in India will be opening on the 21st of June for biometrics of study permits.

Here’s the link:
Yeah, I also read that. But VFS is operated by a Dubai based private company and Visa is issued by High Commission which is operated by Canadian Gov. So, resuming of Biometrics doesn't necessarily mean that it will start operating. Although, we can assume ( and hope) that it should start functioning from 21st. Do you know when did they started stamping after first wave? Just did they communicated the same thing after first wave also!

No idea about the first wave thing tbh. Just to clarify I’m still waiting for my study permit to be approved but is it the same as receiving a PPR?

There was 2-stage process during first wave (called AIP) but that has ended now. So, they will definitely give decisions for Fall students very soon, and that's good in a way - either refusal or approval no BS! Brace yourselves, coming few weeks will be D-day for many

Yes, same thing, they request the passport to affix the visa only after that the actual status in GCKey turns to 'approved' , its a part of the whole process!

Okay thanks for the clarification ! I’m not sure if the study permit approval is delayed cause I applied from India… due to the travel restrictions or something
