Hello,

for those who left Canada and didn’t update their address to a non Canada address before passing the test and had to come back to Canada to pass the test. Did you get your citizenship ? Were there any complications ?
Thank you very much!

AFAIK, no concerns were reported for this particular issue you are asking about. At least I did not see any on this forum. As long as you were present inside Canada during the test, you shouldn't have repercussions IMO.

But as per the regulations, you have to report to IRCC if your address has changed / if you are outside Canada for 2 weeks. Not sure how many people actually follow this.

For those who didn’t tell IRCC that they were outside Canada and didn’t update their address, were there any negative consequences ?
Thank you

I dont think so there should be any problem as long as you maintain you PR status and PR cards are valid you should be good.

Last time when I asked the CIC, the agent told me that there is no reason to update the address to a non-Canadien one as they do not mail correspondence to outside Canada. Are there 2 places we should update our address?
