depending on the visa office ? damn then probably its going to take another 50 years for my file to process since Montreal office is going through 7th wave.
To be honest, it depends on so many variables other than office, mainly the officer.

That would add another 20 years because the officer needs a special vaccine none of the pfizer , moderna , zeneca works on them thats why we get a response from CIC "Due to Covid 19 we are working with critically reduced staff" .

I'm on the same boat. Completed my test in February 2021 and didn't hear back from them till May 17th. Then the tracker updated for me with the interview request on May 19th. I had my interview on June 1st which went really well and I was told that everything would be complete that day and the tracker would be updated by June 4th. Nothing has changed. It still says in progress, the last update was on May 19th when they put in the interview request. I was told that I would hear about oath in 4 to 8 weeks. It's been almost two weeks since the interview and the tracker still hasn't changed. This is Halifax office. I'm a September 2019 applicant. It's so frustrating and disheartening.

On Jan 2020 i was told at the interview that I will receive my oath in 3 months. I have actually forgotten there is something known as oath.

We all are doomed then because that special will take time.

Everything in Process and 23 April date seems frozen. Looks like CIC officers need another round of booster dose in order to comeback to office and resume work.

I think 23 April was just the launch date of the New CIC fancy system. There is no such vaccine available yet that works on CIC officers, the variant they need to make the vaccine is on Mars so I do know maybe they are going to contact the klingons .

I'm so sorry. I can only imagine how frustrated you must have been feeling for a year and a half now. I just felt like I was getting so close. But nothing seems to be working with them and I can't believe I let myself believe them again after the interview.

In a series of internal IRCC emails, employees acknowledge that the backlog of those permanent residents who are ready to take a citizenship test grew from 87,000 people in March 2020 to 102,000 by the start of this year

The information also shows there were 311,259 people waiting to go through the entire application process for citizenship at the end of January.

Of those, 102,989 had been waiting between 13 and 18 months — and 865 for more than four years.
