I heard that Doha is doing tests on airport and that UAE has limited, but not banned, flights from Pakistan. Is this so ? Has anyone travelled recently or planning to ?
Would be so kind if you include source link, as we currently getting a lot of “I heard…” once we understand the content, its easy to comment and cross referenceI heard that Doha is doing tests on airport and that UAE has limited, but not banned, flights from Pakistan. I think the reason was due to the variant being reported in Pakistan at that time and due to the fact that many people travel to Canada from Pakistan. So they must have thought they should ban travel from there as well as India. tbh I do agree that the cases were not severe in Pakistan as it was here and the ban is not justifiable as of now cause there are less cases. I think the flights should resume there at least, and for India maybe give some weeks. No hate for brothers from Pakistan or IndiaWhy is Pakistan on the hit-list alongwith India? By Allah will Pakistan was not even near to the condition which India had to go through. Here due to on time lockdown and effective safety protocols corona cases were controlled on time and fatality rate was also not that much high. So why are countries putting a ban on Pakistan too alongwith India? India and Pakistan are two different countries with a minimum travel traffic in between its citizens. Here we dont have the different mutant of virus which is found in India. Iam not by any means attacking India as we are sorry for it too, for its fatality rate and hope corona cases go down over there by Allah will.
Ur right dear.. yes flights from Pakistan should resume as for now we are at a minimal level of cases reported and India should be given sometime as cases are falling down there too.I think the reason was due to the variant being reported in Pakistan at that time and due to the fact that many people travel to Canada from Pakistan. UAE ban has extended till 06 JULY (not reduced but banned).I heard that Doha is doing tests on airport and that UAE has limited, but not banned, flights from Pakistan. Is this so ? Has anyone travelled recently or planning to ?

But iam talking about Pakistan not UK. We dont have such variants like delta or black fungus or deadly UK variant here in Pakistan.. moreover, since covid has attacked the world UK and Europe are more affected by it than Pakistan. The cases and fatality rate in Pakistan is lower too and more and more people are getting vaccinated. Then why does Canada bans flights from Pakistan and not from UK??No they wont, look what's happened to the covid rate in the UK, 9 out of 10 cases are due to delta variant.

Hmmm..yes rightI can't answer your question regarding why just Pakistan with regards to the ban.
However cases of the delta strain have in fact been reported in Pakistan over the last few weeks. The UK variant has made it there as well.

Both of these variants are now found pretty much everywhere in the world. Pakistan is not immune.
Ahhaa..yes right dearI was referring to cases falling in India, maybe Canada thinks India is under-reporting cases, maybe Canada does not want to be in a situation like UK in a few months with rising cases due to delta variant. Pakistan is banned also because people from India would probably take an indirect flight via Pakistan.
