Hello I applied for a visitors visa at the end of March as an Argentine citizen, spouse of Canadian......coming up on about 75 days now (according to the website it was 70 day average processing time)

Anyone know if they've been processing normally, are they dragging their feet (delaying visas) to prevent people from entering, etc?

Any info appreciated

Current processing times are around 93 days. Might have been 70 when you applied but it looks like it's slowed down a bit since then. Based on that, seems like you should be hearing something within the next 2-3 weeks.

If you are a spouse of Canadian citizen, why haven’t you applied for spousal sponorship? Hopefully you will be approved but if not it may be because you are married to a Canadian. Officers may not believe that you are just coming to visit but moving and then planning to apply inland.

Doesn't spousal sponsorship take an average of 2 years? we don't want to stay forever, she wants to visit her family who she hasn't been able to see in 2+ years and as her husband I want to go too.
I had the understanding that this was a good enough reason. Family reunification even if temporary
