Thank you! Really appreciate the info. I will hold off on getting translations until the interview, then. Probably a silly question, but does everyone go through an interview or only certain applicants?

Just got the email from my MP, no citizenship will be giving till the end of COVID, period.
Yeah, I'm not sure how true this is, as people are still receiving oath invites, and nothing has been said by IRCC about oaths being cancelled "till the end of COVID." And what would mark the end of COVID? 75% vaccination rate? Restrictions lifted? Not sure...

It will provide is if your application is the office registry or if it has been promoted to "Test Ready" status by the local office. It will also provide the "Due Dates" for various statuses (Knowledge, Residence, Prohibitions etc)

If your application location shows "Registry", then it means that the LVO has not/is not working on it actively. If the application location shows "Test Ready", it means that the local office has completed its checks and you are in line to receive your test invitation.

You might want to check the breakdown of my GCMS notes to understand what information you'll see.

I received my GCMS notes around May 25th.
Location is Registry
But I do have a due date of 15-Aug-21 on most of the important entries, not sure if that's any solace.

This is how cic officers work: I applied in Feb 2020. My wife applied in May 2020. Her file was transferred in Jan2021 to local office and my file was transferred from sydney in Feb2021. Still both applications are showing registry.
This is how slow they are. Irresponsible. Unacceptable processing speed. No one oversees if there are pending applications or being processed by received date.

Doesn't test invitation mean that your file has met the Citizenship requirement? I don't understand what is the hold up after test completion. What else is there to check, smell and taste the paper application to confirm if its edible?
Its not verified yet at test stage i think.
What we have seen is that (per statuses displayed on tracker), officers are completing the sections(Language skills, Physical presence etc) after the test. So i doubt that these lazy officers have patience to do double work before the test and after the test. So surely they are verifying only after the test.
Funny thing is that they update as complete within few days/same day for many hence it doesnt take much time but still they take lot of time to complete the whole process.

Hi Folks,

I have a question. I sent in my application in February 24, 2020 and it was received early March. I sent both a PR card renewal and Citizenship application separately. PR renewal took approximately 6 months and it is complete.

However, I am yet to receive my AOR for the citizenship application. It has been 15 months since Immigration Canada received the it. Obviously, I cannot get any information from Immigration Canada and cannot check the status onlie either. The website states that they that they are processing AOR for March 2021 applications.

Any ideas on how to proceed? Sit still and wait? Contact my MP?

Thanks in advance.

You may want to try logging into this website with your UCI and other details.

https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do

There is a very good chance your file may already be in progress. Once you see the status of your citizenship application, go ahead and call IRCC, they can provide you with your application number. You can register with your application number and UCI, and track the progress of your application in more detail in this new website
