Good day @legalfalcon, I hope you are well, my COPR expired end of May 2021. I have a US B1 visa. i have to go to the US for 1 month, i am thinking about requesting an authorization to travel in order to settle permanently in Canada when my trip in the US is complete. Do you think this attempt has chances to succeed?

Aren't there flight restrictions from India to Canada?

"
Suspension of flights from India
The Government of Canada has suspended flights from India until June 21, 2021.
"

Source: https://travel.gc.ca/destinations/india
Yes, flight restrictions are indeed in place, however because the lady’s flight was for after the travel ban is scheduled to end, airlines can’t outright deny her to travel because she is a PR (and not a Canadian citizen). Right now flights from Canada to India are allowed (perhaps some special flights) but not from India to Canada. If I remember correctly, the Canadian high commission in India also tweeted that Canadian citizens (and permanent citizens) in India too should sit tight till the flight restrictions are lifted. If she is to travel on the 23rd of June, airlines can’t say that they can’t travel. If in case the travel restrictions are extended, then that’s another case, but still there won’t be separate rules for citizens and permanent residents (approved and pre-18 March 2020).

Transit from the US is not exempt from the travel restrictions. However, if you will be in US, you can surely contact IRCC and see if they make an exception.

I hope so.
there is no change in medicals etc.
Except that they have started whole process again. I mean revieing eligibility, processing background etc,
and visa numbers are all gone.
That is strange. Did you request for an extension?

Hello, pals!
I'm outland post-march COPR holder, it expired in Jan'21, in April my re-medicals were completed, still no news from the IRCC or VO. My VO is Warsaw. Does anyone know if any post-march COPR holder on this forum has received new COPR after re-medicals? I have completed several requests to my VO and web-form, still no results. Is that common?
Post March CoPR holder, CoPR expire March 2021.
ReMedical approved Jan 2021.
Webform response: Still In process.
No other update. Still waiting.

I’m so worried that I might have to pass up on a job offer. My copr expired in August 2020 and I’ve done my medical but I’m still waiting for an authorisation to travel. Anyone have good news that can keep my mind off of it.?

Wait you had remedical request before your COPR expired?
As per your post, COPR expired March 2021 and remedical approved before that which is January 2021.

Wow congrats, do you have no family in canada? Or are you exempted?
This is odd indeed!!! Maybe you can call ircc? Cus right now everyone is requested medicals.

Thought I'd try here - apologies if this a common question but I don't think I have 1200 pages of reading me.

What's the typical duration between the "Do you still want to come to Canada?" email and final acceptance?

(My situation: COPR expired October 2020, "do you still want to come" email received april 2021, and waiting since).

I am also post-March COPR and I had the same update on my account over the weekend. Except my documents were already expired, so it made sense in my case but it doesn't make any sense in your case. And I am also London VO.
that is why I got worried

If documents are expired and there is no AL, then you cant enter Canada.
