AL for purchase of a business

Hope this message finds you in good health!
We are on speaking terms to buy an (existing) Corporation in Alberta.
We also have a valid CoPR (until September 20) but are from Europe and do not fall under any of the travel exemptions.

How do you see our chances for getting an Authorisation Letter to travel based on our situation.
And what information should we provide to IRCC to give us the best chances?

The workpermit-option won't do the job for us:
We can't get a LMIA as we will be our own employer, and can't request a LMIA for ourselves....

Any tips/suggestions will be highly appreciated!

The travel authorisation is only available for the following categories:

• Immediate family members who want to unite with a Canadian citizen, person registered under Canada’s Indian Act or permanent resident
• Extended family members who want to unite with a Canadian citizen, person registered under Canada’s Indian Act or permanent resident
• Immediate family members: How to unite with someone who is in Canada temporarily

Only the following foreign nations can enter Canada:

To be eligible to travel to Canada as a foreign national, you must meet the requirements for one of the following:

• an immediate family member of a Canadian citizen, person registered under Canada’s Indian Act or permanent resident who is staying in Canada for 15 days or more
• an extended family member of a Canadian citizen, person registered under Canada’s Indian Act or permanent resident who is staying in Canada for 15 days or more
• a person who is authorized by the Public Health Agency of Canada to travel to Canada for compassionate reasons
• a person who’s participating in an International Single-Sport Event (ISSE)
• all other foreign nationals

Ok, so no chance for us to receive an AL based on our situation....

You will not get an AL for saying you want to ”maybe” purchase a business. People with start-up visas can’t enter right now unless they have their work permit.

We don't want to 'maybe' purchase a business.
We already signed a non-disclosure and intention letter. And set up a businessplan together with the current owners.
Next step is financing but can't make an appointment with a bank or investment company when we aren't in Canada

Unfortunately the immediate or extended family member exemption is the only thing that will allow you to travel until travel restrictions are eased. Any chance you have a family member in Canada?
