Need your help in understanding the consequences:

Aug 2020 - AOR, Eligibility - Conclusive Passed, Criminality - In Progress

In CRS, I included the 50 points for the Job Offer from my current employer. Due to the pandemic, my employer planning for lay-off which means I might not have the job offer. Since my eligibility is conclusively passed. Can I change the job by applying for the BOWP?

You can surely apply for a BOWP, that is not an issue at all. However, when you change your job, you will have to inform IRCC, and with the job offer withdrawn, your eligibly can be reevaluated. However, if you can file a job and form an employer willing to give you a job offer that is valid for at least 1 year from the date you become a PR, you can send that along with the change of job to IRCC.

CRS Cut-off was 464 when I received the ITA. If I removed 50 points (Job Offer) then I'm on 432, which means I'm in trouble. Need inputs on few more questions, please.

1) Currently I'm on a closed work permit with an IT firm (CEC - 2 yrs exp). In order to secure the points, any job offer will work OR its LMIA specific only.
2) Can it be a better decision to withdraw the application and apply again? With CEC @ 432, I will easily get the invite in upcoming rounds and freedom from this closed work permit.

Need your insight.

Am also waiting since July 2019- FSW-O-EE (India); Received Pre-arrival Letter in Apr/May 2020. Some GU's related to Background Checks(BCG) in Dec 2020. In last update application completion date extended to Feb 21 and since then showing application 100% complete. Medicals are mentioned -Passed. Currently for BCG it's mentioned-We are are processing your BCG, we will send you a message if we need more info.
BIL not yet received and mentioned in online status - You donot need Biometric.

Did you give biometrics before in the last 10 years, if you did, then you are exempt form giving them again. IRCC has informed that if you have given biometrics in the last 10 years, you are exempt from giving them again. Then you will have to wait for the instructions. You can also read out to IRCC and ask why you haven't been asked yet.

I am almost in the same boat. Can we go for a new profile to secure ITA with a low score, without withdrawing the existing (i.e. continuing) one and later withdraw the old one (as in this case because of job offer risk).

Meanwhile in India since March 2020 till Oct 2020, CanadaVFS centres were shut, they were opened in Nov2020 and there was a huge backlog of Biometrics for students and Spousal cases...1L.That's cleared but due to 2nd Covid wave, again now Canada VFS centres in India are shut from 1st May.

They will be exempt under extended family unification for which they will have to apply for an authorisation to travel.

Yes, you can have multiple profiles. However, once you submit an application, you should withdraw other profiles.

Hi @legalfalcon , how possible is it for an OINP application to be refused for having spent considerable time in QC during the last 3 years as a tourist (2-5 months/year), since there is a field to declare it on my application ? What about an Express Entry application getting refused for the same reason? Thank you!
