Hi guys,

after submitting my re-medicals I received a request to submit docs before issuing a new COPR. The thing is I don't need a visa to get there and the only doc I need to send via post is my photos. Previously they provided the actual mailing address, however this time they asked me to go through Visa Application Centre along with the relevant fees. Now I can find out where the visa centre is (London, UK) but I don't need a visa, there is no indication on what fee i should pay by simply just submitting them the photos.

Is anyone here in the same situation? If so what to do? Do I need to pay anything or just send them the photos? Would be great if you can help. Thanks.

Actually I am checking this point. I paid 1125 CAD in 2019 ( including 490 CAD) and I think the new rates (revised at some point in 2020) are 1325 CAD ( 825 for processing fee and 500 for RPRF). So I think would only have to pay 10 CAD extra, but frankly I am not sure. I have to investigate this
Hi

Does the email read along these lines.... "If not yet paid, Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) for you and your accompanying spouse (if applicable)We strongly encourage you to pay your fees online and provide a copy of the receipt".........

You cannot submit your documents in person at VAC. You have to send via courier and also pay VAC to courier your CoPR to you. Call the VAC for clarity.

PS You don't just send photos. You would also send, photocopy of biodata passport page, copy of PPR letter and info regarding your height and eye color

Hi Jagjyot, I did my exam last Thursday (7 days ago) and my account's status is still "Your action is required."

As per my understanding, we don't have to send them any further communication, right?
I believe the VACs being closed could be a reason that it is not getting updated. We do have acknowledgment from Medical centre, so I wouldn't worry much about it.

Hello all,
Hope every1 is safe.

I applied for PR from UAE, pre 18 March. And I got remed form this week but I am in Pakistan at the moment. Just wanted to ask if I can give my med in Pak instead of UAE.

Thank you.

You can go to any IRCC accredited doctor for the medical visit.

Someone else here mentioned they replied after the deadline and their case has been recently updated. It wasn't a month later though. Hopefully they will update yours too.

Hi guys, anyone here missed the deadline for the "Do you still want to immigrate e-mail"? My wife and i just found out that it had for some reason gone into the 'spam' folder and that we were supposed to reply to it by April 8. Will they close our application and will we have to restart the entire process? Anybody here who had sent a delayed response but still got request for re-meds/AL etc?

Any help would be appreciated, we are extremely anxious that they will close our application now.
Hi, can you tell me if you get a response and what proceed you followed apart from replying to the email. I also replied 15 days days late and I am very worried now. Please let me know..

The same thing happened to me, it went to the spam folder for some reason and i missed it and replied today, which is way past the deadline given in the e-mail. Please let me know as well if you get any positive reply from IRCC
Hi, you received any response yet. Please let me know. I also missed the email and replied late.

Five min read.. MP Christine Normandin defending those post march 2020

...
"There does not appear to be a health justification" for the current travel restrictions imposed on COPR holders, says federal MP Christine Normandin."
...
“Many fear the expiration of their COPRs and the need to start the process all over again, with the costs of medical examinations and criminal background checks that this entails, which can be costly, especially for a family."

.....
“We are also concerned that this will place an additional burden on immigration officers if, while waiting for the restrictions to be lifted, applicants are required to undergo repeat medical examinations and criminal background checks, which officers will then have to reassess."

....
“We believe that this situation sends the wrong message to immigrants,” Normandin concludes in her letter. "

Thanks for the info.

The letter says visa exempt applicants with online account can upload photocopy of passport page and the letter via online account so really the only physical thing I need to send is my photos. Now you mentioned it, I did remember having to include a pre-paid postage envelope inside the package when I initially applied, apart from they asked me to send directly to High Commission of Canada instead of VAC last time. I will see if I can call them and ask for clarify. Thanks again.
