Medical Exam for Visitor Visa

I received notification that my Mom should get her medical exam done. I also booked an appointment with a panel physician. Recently, I call yet another hospital to see if they have an earlier slot available. This hospital told me that they have stopped booking because Canadian High Commission in India is not receiving / processing medical exams for now. Is this true?

On top of needing physicians to focus on covid. Canada doesn’t want to be requiring people to go to a medical setting and potentially be exposed to covid and require doctors to potentially see more patients and be exposed to covid. Immigration medications are rarely urgent and people shouldn’t risk their lives to get one,
