Mine is
Date of application - 31 march 2021
Biometric - 7 april

and nothing else since than!

Biometric - 2nd March
Medical passed - 11th March
No updates after that

Guys i have been looking at the processing time for work pemrit application in india and the website updates it weekly. From past 4 weeks they have added one extra week each week. For ex today they made it 13 weeks from 12 weeks....... so this means they are not processing any work permit application right now???

They say it's time taken to give the result for a completed application. But we can't trust the processing times. As many applications from last year have not got the result yet. It's happening randomly with no particular order I guess.

You are correct. They are working with less staff. Since the processing is not completely stopped, Once New Delhi lockdown is over in a phased manner and the VFS offices will open, the time taken to process application will stop increasing. And for Approx. timeline please add 20% of time to the given timeline. For example : If it's 10 weeks, you go by 12 weeks minimum. Now since it may be 14 weeks in the coming week. You may calculate 17 weeks from the date of Application ( Assuming biometric already completed). Hope this helps. Nothing we can do except wait

VFS Germany is opened in Chennai.. why they are not opening VFS Canada.... Its too sad..

They go by the Canada High Commission. Hopefully beginning June 3rd week there might be some improvement in processing timeline. Hopefully by September most of people within Canada will get vaccinated and India will also cover good number. There is a light after this dark tunnel.

They didn’t increase the time this week and its still 13 weeks. Do u think its a good indication.
