Hi there,
I had scheduled my flight on Air Canada from delhi to Toronto on 3rd June.
Yesterday the airline cancelled the flight and the next available flight for me is on June 22!

Can we travel via transiting form another country because i can book a flight on Turkish airlines via isbtanbull but I'm not sure about the current travel rules in Canada involving flights from India with layover.

As of now (until May 22) you will need a PCR test in the country from where you will board your flight to Canada (except India and Pakistan). So if you want to go through Istanbul you will need to get a PCR test done there in the transit area of the airport (if possible) otherwise you will have to enter the country with a visa and quarantine there as per their rules and then travel.

Etihad has transit area rapid pcr tests for Indians and Pakistanis, however, the UAE has currently banned all travel from these countries. Once they open up, then it could be a viable route if Canada happens to extend their ban after May 22.

Are people still using the Doha, Qatar route or is it banned? If so I am planning to travel and if anyone else is also interested then we can discuss together about it. ✌

Hamad Airport in Doha does not have a transit PCR testing facility confirmed by their twitter support.
Misinformation was spread about this by members on this forum.

Okay thanks for letting me know. Is there any alternate way at the moment?

The only option is to wait Canada's update on whether they are extending the ban after May 22 or not. That announcement will decide whether we should fly directly (Air Canada/Air India) or have to fly indirectly (Etihad for Abu Dhabi or Turkish Airlines for Istanbul.)
These are the only two airports I know that have confirmed (through twitter) transit area testing.

For Abu Dhabi we will need to also wait for UAE to end their ban on India.

For Turkey, there is nothing holding us back as of now except sold out flights. (I could be wrong about this).

Air Canada has extended their ban today, even though the Feds haven't announced an extension yet. https://globalnews.ca/news/7859595/covid-19-air-canada-india-flight-ban-extended/

For Turkey, we have to go through a 14 day quarantine period at places designated by the airport officials upon arrival before we can take the flight to Canada.. are there any other countries which have not banned travel from India yet?

For turkey you don't have to quarantine if transiting I believe.

However I just confirmed some bad news about Istanbul Airport. Their PCR testing facility is on the land-side of the arrivals area, meaning you must go through immigration to access it which means its of no use to us.

Abu Dhabi (Etihad) seems like the only option right now if UAE lifts their ban. Or Direct flights if Canada lifts their ban.
