I asked CIC for an exemption to allow me to take the test while in India due to the flight ban. They came back with this:


Anyone have any idea what they mean by the last sentence "If not, please visit the IRCC website for further information upon your arrival."?

When you arrive to Canada, contact IRCC to let them know you’re in Canada and ready to take the test.

I'm sorry. Who is this "they" you're referring to? RCMP or IRCC?

IRCC Vancouver. RCMP already confirmed that the FP were sent

The method you contact IRCC is up to you.. either via web form, call or email.

This mean that you can't give online test outside Canada, and when you back in Canada contact IRCC so they will arrange test date for you.

biggest mistake i should have applied from a different city than Windsor this city is slow as hell no test nothing dead

I am thinking the same. Very very bad that the files are not even assigned. Very unfortunate for windsor applicants. Already this pandemic had slowed for all but now windsor is not even attending the files at all.

How come an office having files not assigned an officer for 8 months after AOR. Worst is that my file just got transferred to windsor 2 months ago even though i got AOR in Aug2020. Can you apply for atip notes and see if your file is transferred and any officer assigned?
My file doesnt have any officer assigned.

I am even thinking that i will update the address now. I dont know, i am very confused and not happy to see that the files are just piling up and drowning in dust.

What happens if i update the address now? They will transfer and another 2 months delay, right? May be its worth than waiting for a year

Even worse than Ottawa location ? I don't think so.

dont do it mine has been transfered but no officer assigned windsor applicants are less in numbers thats why they are chilling there

Just write to the same email that you got the FP request from. They reply in a few hours.

I sent them email (to RCMP) and they confirmed they received the application and they sent the result to IRCC on 31-03-2021 but there is no progress from IRCC till now

What do you mean no progress? For me, RCMP sent on 30-03-2021 and IRCC confirmed receipt on 22-04-2021 (you have to email them, there is no change on ECAS status)

I mean I have not received test invite and What do you mean I have to email them? Do you have their email (IRCC)?
