Webform for SP Reconsideration

you have an AIP? which visa office? any change in statuses inside the profile? did you receive an email from visa office after you raised webform? can you be more specific with the dates and time? it will help you and others.

And no.. nothing is changed in my application and the status is back to refused :.(

Hei! No, I don’t have an AIP. I first applyed on july 2020. The Visa Office that denied me was Abu Dhabi . I didn’t receive any email regarding the webform but I received an automated response because I also sent en email for Sao Paulo consulate ( i sent the webform and the email).
I was denied in 29th March and asked for reconsideration in 5th April. I saw this so called “ghost update” in my profile at 17th Abril , it said my profile was updated and when i loged back it was again with status “refused” It happened three times in a space of one hour but I didn’t receive any email. Needless to say I can’t sleep anymore because i am too ansious for not knowing what is happening

Did you attach any new documents with the webform? usually, they send an email saying that they are forwarding the request to the migration officer. What I have come to know from one case, the status changes to submitted if the review fetches a positive outcome.

17th April was Saturday which is a day off for abu dhabi. Did you attach any new documents with the webform? usually, they send an email saying that they are forwarding the request to the migration officer. What I have come to know from one case, the status changes to submitted if the review fetches a positive outcome.

The ghost update was 17th abril in Brasil and 18th April in Abu Dhabi because of the seven hours difference we have ) yes I sent two addicional documents togueter with a new SOP (a stronger one ..the previous one was indeed awfull) and my refusal letter. I don’t know..better don’t create any expectations once my status is back to refused :.( I am already thinking about applying all over again.

Not many people do reconsideration so there is not a lot of data on how to proceed with one. Some argue that there should be no new documents attached, while some were successful with new documents attached. Nevertheless, they have actually reviewed your file. I would say see for a month and then apply again, maybe they are working on your file. Abu Dhabi is very slow with processing applications, if there was an AIP involved with enrollment then it would have been faster. If they reviewed your new SOP and still refused, then probably this SOP won't work in the new application as well.

I am waiting for my Atip but I wanted to try reconsideration before reapplying because they denied me “only” for one reason : visit purpose. Then I made it clearer in the new SOP why it had to be this specific course . Well.. I will wait another two weeks and if nothing happens I apply again cheking all details from the Atip. Its great that they have given only one reason to you, but they can add any new reason(s) in new applications. So its not like other reasons have been excluded for good. In an SOP all refusal reasons that they generally give have to be addressed, if you only focus on the previous one refusal reason then it may or may not work.

To be honest nowadays I just want a conclusion I cant sleep or simply relax because of this waiting specially knowing they may not even give me an answer for this reconsideration request !

I can understand what you are going through, I am in the same situation. I have not even got a ghost update so far. Requested reconsideration on 8th April. And it was my 2nd refusal, have ordered GCMS notes already.

I know people who tried three or four times until have sucess (dont know if i would do the same thou..)Look, maybe you had a ghost update and didn’t even noticed. Only reason I saw the update was because I visit my ircc account 473764864 times per day and night. I visit my account 4:00am when i saw the ghost update . Did you receive any email about the webform ? Are you brazilian as well ?

Ghost update doesn't go away until you click on the application to view it, so whether you once a day, ghost update would still be there. I received an email, no I am from Pakistan.

Hmmm from what I know the status goes back to previous one like refused or submitted after ghost update. Its a mystery

Yes, it's not well established at the moment, but if they have decided to approve the application then it would be changed to submitted followed by BVL in a few days. Going back to refused might mean that either they have not decided yet and are working on it, or they have decided and its a refusal. All we can do is wait and see, giving it a month and then applying again.
