I guess most of August 2019 applicants are "In process" status for quite a while including me. Check your GCMS notes most likely its residency verification that is taking longer. It also depends which office is processing your application.
Thank you!

That's awesome. However pandemic closure will be the loophole that will be used most applicants. Ours was July 2019 and with closures 8 months later, this would be interesting to see how things turn out. Though at that point of time time to completion was given to be 12 months.

I don't think it applies to us 2019 applicants.

Office Montreal is processing the application. Do they have a delay?

Its one of the worse and slowest office right now. If you check the tracker the applications from Montreal are hardly moving. In 4 months it will be 2 years since my application has been " In Process ". I have no hope from Montreal office

AOR sent: October 30, 2019

Test appeared and passed: January 16, 2020

Still no invitation for oath or anything. Will the oath be scheduled within 4 months of DM? It will be 2 years in less than 4 months!!! No matter how many times I ask them, they just say due to covid, they have issues with processing times! Is there anyone in a similar situation? How long usually (in the pandemic) it takes from a DM to oath? Any insight?

Wow first time ever I’m seeing a timeline like yours. I’d also be desperate to know what the actual f*ck.. your application was approved before COVID. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t send you an Oath invitation. Have you asked for GCMS notes ?

No, I have not asked for a GCMS note yet! I do not know much about it! Does it give a timeline? But I know someone who applied 1.5 months later than me with the same office actually had the oath last august 2020 (within 10.5 months of the AOR)! I have no clue how they process things and why does it take so long!! How long they would be blaming the covid for everything.

Thank you! I hope for all of us that they will start to process faster.

I'm in the same boat as you but you're lucky that you have DM which makes me wonder if you speak French or are from a country where they speak french as native language. Montreal office is processing bilingual applicants or francophones faster. I think you will get an invite within 3 months after DM . Let us know .

mine is still in process In no other country in the world takes that long to get citizenship . Its ridiculous. Should have gone to Australia or UK.

Actually, I know people who applied 1.5 months after me (not bilingual/francophones) and got oath 8 months back!!! I also expected that my oath invite will be within 3 months after DM (I checked on January 11 and saw the DM status, it was not there on January 4th). Unfortunately, I am in the 4th month after DM now! I really do not know what to expect from them!!! Indeed it is ridiculous. This pandemic will go on and they should adapt to work through this! However, all they can do is blame it on Covid! Even on their portal, they are not updating it. They show that they are processing applications that they received on March 31 -April 6, 2019!!! I do not speak French, not from a country where they speak french/native language is French.

Order Gcms notes and see if ur application is routine or non routine. Mine is non routine so it will take more than 2 years for my application. Better check urs.

I am sorry if it is a dumb question, but can you please let me know if I order GCMS notes through the online portal? Like logging into my account?
